Blazing Through

This mint Esley blazer was a huge hit when I featured it a few weeks ago,  selling six of them to clients and readers.  Hopefully those who purchased it have been enjoying wearing it as much as I have.  The perfect minty fresh accent to all my basic pairings.  Khaki and black is a trusted combo for a lot of ladies....add in the blazer, a few fun accessories and you have an up to date, on trend look.  Hope you find some outfit inspiration and have a great week:)

Happy Memorial Day!

Heading out to hit the beach with the little guy but thought I would quickly share my festive blue and white from yesterday's BBQ.  This Target dress has been a maternity favorite and was featured recently on the blog here.  Kind of fun to see how much the bump has grown in the past couple weeks....crazy to think I still have three more months of stretching to go!  All sorts of layers here....a must for Jersey Shore BBQ's....as the sun goes down, the temperature quickly drops and I like to be prepared.  Two and half year old tugging at my leg to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine so not much else to say....Enjoy your Memorial Day...filled with family and friends...and take a moment to remember the brave heroes that are honored today:)

Maternity Mondays: Pop Pop Pop

What a great weekend:)  My husband didn't have to work (he usually does) so we enjoyed the beautiful weather with trips to the park and boardwalk. This is the time of year that I ADORE living at the Jersey Shore.  Simple weekend wear featured....what made it modern and up to date were the little "pops" of color. The Sam Edelman's are a new purchase...big fan of the neutral tone and then the "pop" of orange on the strap. I also love this Vintage Havana tank with the "pop" of neon yellow. All generally subtle, but add a little bit of interest. No maternity wear in this post, just a skirt with a lot of stretch and tank with major tummy forgiveness.  Hope you find some outfit inspiration and have a great week:)

Beach Photos

My family is finally taking the beach shots I have so desired for eons. We moved to the shore about three years ago and I have longed for a family beach photo shoot...but you know how life is...and my husband isn't really a picture taking enthusiast....ironic, I know. With my leverage growing belly, I convinced him that a family/maternity shoot would be perfect to make it all happen. I have the men covered in distressed jeans and linen tops but mama was more complicated (women's fashion always is, no?). I decided on this Calypso St. Bart Maxi and it arrived yesterday. It is a little snug through the bust (told bust to settle down for two weeks) but perfectly loose through body and really captures the natural organic look I really want. Below are my other inspirations for the shoot...wavy tousled hair and so on. I will be sure to share some of the photos!

Maternity Monday- Completely Candid

I hope that all the expecting and mama's had a beautiful and relaxing day with family and friends. We hit the boardwalk and spent most of the day outside as the weather was 78 degrees and sunny! My hubs and I went out to dinner Friday night with dear friends and this is what I wore:) I will be completely candid that I do not recommend or care for these Maternal America White skinny jeans. After wearing them a few times, they really are not comfortable on the waistline (not enough stretch)and then allow for too much stretch in the the leg. I can't decide if it is just an overall bad fit/make OR if they just aren't for my body type in particular. They weren't pricey but they weren't cheap either (paid $78). I hate to give poor reviews on the blog and if I don't care for something, I usually won't feature it...but since I own them, you will see them from time to time and I would hate for any expecting mama's to take that as an endorsement. The rest of the outfit I ADORE and have been dying to wear the Von Vonni Silk Shirt. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and have a great week!

Boyfriend's

Set to retire any day (due to my ever expanding waistline), I wore my favorite boyfriend jeans for a day of meetings and shopping.  If you don't own a pair of boyfriend's...I firmly suggest you invest.  Pregnant or not, they are the perfect balance of comfort and style for a mom on the go.  I love wearing them casually with t-shirt and TOMS but also adore pairing them with sky high heels and the silkiest blouse.  Not sure where to find a great pair?  How about clicking here to check out my polyvore set filled with lots of great boyfriend options.  Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping!
