XIX Most Fashionable Women in Philadelphia

I worked for the Nicole Miller brand for over five years in Philadelphia as their Director of Sales and Merchandising.  It was an amazing job that kept the flame burning for my passion of all things fashion and retail.  Without that particular job, the people, and the journey, I would never be a working personal shopper and stylist.

The owner of the Philadelphia stores, Mary Dougherty , taught me a very wise lesson…..Small businesses have an obligation to give back to the community that supports them. I am probably the smallest business around, but finding a place to donate my time and closet overflow from clients, was one of my top priorities.  Working with Grace Initiatives gives me such joy.   I like to think it is part of the reason for my continued growth and success…beyond that, it just feels good.

Monday, I attended an event hosted by Nicole Miller Philadelphia to celebrate the XIX (Nineteen) Most Fashionable Women in Philadelphia.  Chosen, of course, for their impeccable sense of style…but also for their inspirational philanthropic work in the community.  The energy in the room was contagious and has me dreaming up different ways to give back.

The Event:

The event was held at XIX Restaurant at the Hyatt at the Bellevue.  It was an intimate event…with tons of media there- Hence the reason I did not get a great shot of the 19 women 🙁  As soon as PR company gets one to me, I will be adding it to the post.  For now, you will have to enjoy my not so great photos of the room.  Below I have also listed the women who were honored one by one.  Some really amazing women…Google them:)
