This is the smile of a 36 year old women who is SO proud of her itty bitty braid she can barely contain herself. I am fleetingly inspired by amazing hair tutorials but then, when it comes to actually following through….I end up with my hair down or completely pulled back.  Seriously, I don’t believe those hair do’s happen as quickly as they say they do…or maybe its just been too long to remember what it is like getting ready without being interrupted by little toddler voices.  Definitely not complaining, but their arrival has done nothing for my hair game.  I can’t remember what inspired this braid, maybe Lauren Conrad?  Who knows?  It was fun, cute and super easy.

My other standout is this new makeup product I am using from Tica called the Foundation Stick Luminizer. In love!  #whatelseisnew  Seriously though, I just apply a moon shape around my eyes, down either side of my nose and then under my cheekbones.  I don’t wear it daily, this is a going out look but it really WORKS!  You rub it in (over your already applied makeup) for an extra shine, shimmer and just overall glow!  With each application, I am that much closer to looking like Jennifer Lopez #truestory

  8. Loving this outfit, Carly! So festive. I’m braid-challenged as well, but I’ve been practicing more and more on my daughter. Still can’t braid my hair to save my life though – Ha!
