I hope all you mamas had a wonderful Mothers Day. Mine was just as I wished it be….relaxing! As many of you know I had a “boutique tour” in Maryland. Friday night, I had a smaller event with five of my The Box Service clients and then Saturday my dearest friend and FIRST client hosted an all day open house. I brought my favorite boutique finds and set up Stella and Dot. We all shopped til we dropped- First thing Sunday I packed up and traveled home. I am exhausted but it was a wonderful weekend:)
It is #MondayMingle time….with my lovely and stylish friends Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole of Momtrends. I am keeping it classic in stripes. When my style is simple, I always like to add in some interesting elements. In this case, distressed skinnies and pops of orange. How do you keep your classics fresh and modern?
I hope you will join in the fashion fun by linking up below and be sure to pop by and visit Kristin and Nicole🙂

I adore the simple pairing of black and white….classic, chic and never out of style. I especially love it paired with a pop of color. For me, that pop of color is often orange. If I were to have a signature color, orange is what it would be. I have some amazing investment pieces in the color, one being the Marc Jacobs bag featured below. I am also fairly certain no other accessory has gotten as much wear as this Zolie Designs statement necklace.
Style tip: Spice up your classic black and white pieces with your favorite bright colored accessories. It is a subtle way to welcome Spring without looking like you are trying too hard.
Hope you find some outfit inspiration! We finally have some warmer temperatures here in Jersey…and even though they come with rain, I am NOT complaining. Happy weekend to all:)
A while back, a blog I frequent announced they were opening up an online shop….I had honestly forgotten to check back once it launched…life has just been THAT busy. Fortunately for me (and you) I popped by a few weeks ago to discover this adorable e-boutique Piper Street. The clothing is fun, affordable and has a little bohemian vibe (love that). I knew I would pick something up and wanted it to be a piece I could wear now and later into Spring/Summer…..I landed on this Phoebe Skirt, now with layers and boots…later with sandals and a tank:) Black and white is just so universal, seasonless and easy to style, no? I also love the fit, no tight elastic waistband…just sits nice and easy on the tummy. There are a few other favs from the site here, here and here. Hope you are fashionably inspired:)
Piper Street was so kind to gift a $25 giftcard to one lucky reader. You could snatch up my $22 skirt or find something you love! Happy Shopping and don’t forget to ENTER THE GIVEAWAY BELOW! GOOD LUCK!
WhenNaturalizer first reached out to partner up….I wasn’t sure I was going to say yes. When I started in retail years ago and was going to be on my feet for hours upon hours an associate recommended trying their shoes. She shared their unmatched comfort for standing all day. I vividly remember going to the store and not being able to envision myself in one single pair. That was over 13 years ago…knowing things can change….I quickly popped by their site…and was seriously shockedat the transformation the brand has undergone. It was so hard to choose a pair…I loved these, these, and these but push came to shove, I ended up with thesefeatured below! I LOVE the army green color and they are the perfect mom on the go wedge. Oh and if you are looking for the perfect workday pump…look no further because here it is! Pop by thesite and check out all they have to offer. Most styles are on sale right now too! Win win:) Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week!
This old red house…..My Nana and Pop (my mothers parents) owned it at one time! Isn’t it cool? It was the perfect backdrop for todays photo session…..it takes up the entire corner of the street. My mom always says she wishes they had kept it….it was is a cool house. I must say, this is an example of one of the greatest things about moving to the Jersey Shore….my mother grew up in Point Pleasant and it has been amazing reconnecting with the town that she lived in. Growing up we always visited, but living here has been a totally different experience…one I am still getting used to…but the connection to the town is undeniably neat. I used to say I loved the anonymity of a big city but there might just be something to this small town living:)
If you follow along with my Instagram, you saw that I hosted a fashion seminar at Jon Lori Salon on Monday. I shared top trends for fall 2013 and also talked about sprucing up your wardrobe with accessories, since most days the salon staff has to wear all black. In the hair industry, much like in fashion, you are your business card. If you look good and project confidence, people will want to work with you. Simple as that.
I decided to sport some fav trends myself including leather leggings, leopard booties and my distressed denim vest. Thank you to the RD Style team for this amazing lime green sweater (and some other goodies I will be sharing soon). I received numerous compliments on the dynamic color…and it is perfect for this time of year with leather or dark denim.
The the standout for me was NO DOUBT this amazing STATEMENT necklace made by the lovely Larissa of Zolie Designs. I seriously could not love her necklaces more…some blog love….here, here, here, here and here….told ya I adored! Anyway…we decided to partner up this fall and create a ONE OF A KIND necklace just for TSF readers. Lucky YOU! Details on how to purchase below. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping!

I like creating outfits that are stylish, comfortable and easy to recreate for all of you reading along. I would venture to guess that most of you have jeans, white tanks and a blazer, so I thought it would be helpful to add on accessories for both day and night….giving you outfit ideas for the most simple items in your closet. As you might remember from this post, Kohls gifted me a few great item style up this fall! This LC Lauren Conrad Boyfriend Blazer will be getting a ton of wear in the coming months. It is so easy to style and I love the fit! Totally worth the $49.99 pricetag:)The rest is a mix of new and old accessories….see why I am always telling you accessories are KEY? They help your basics drive the extra mile….Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Tuesday!

I can only think of a handful of times you have seen me sporting wide leg pants. I find them slightly challenging in regards to “fit”and on my body type and they require a heel. Skinny jeans and pants are so easy and look great with flats and heels, I mostly gravitate towards that style….but a girls got to mix it up every now and then:) When Level 99 gifted me these wide leg linen pants I was super excited to try them out. I love the fluid feel and they are so lightweight and perfect for summer. Only downside is linen loves to wrinkle. I suppose one fabric can’t have it all. I am elated that I liked wearing this silhouette because there are a decent amount of wide leg options for fall…maybe I will embrace the trend in 2013:) How about you….do you wear wide leg pants/denim? Are you planning to add a pair to your wardrobe for fall? Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping!

The trendy online store Flat84 so kindly sent Tanya and I the same dress to feature for this months East West Mama’s collaboration. I was elated when I opened the package to discover the ever so popular black and white trend (which I obviously love from a recent post here). I was slightly deflated when I realized the size medium was positively innapropriate…my umentionables were completely exposed. I thought for a bit….maybe I could exchange it for something else….then realized..it would be super cute as a tunic. This is a good tip for many of us thirtysomethings and beyond. If you are loving a particular dress or have something in your closet that feels too short, remember you can always rock it with a great pair of leggings and in this case faux leather ones. It instantly makes the dress appropriate and super chic. Being as Tanya is more petite than I, the dress was the perfect length on her…hope you enjoy the way she styled it up on her blog here. She is looking amazing, right? No fair.
It appears like Flat84 is transitioning from their winter to spring merchandise and spring items are sparse..but there are some serious deals to be had. For example, if you love the faux leather legging look…they have a cute pair on sale here. Or this super cute camo jacket which you can wear well into spring with t-shirts and boyfriend skinnies.
Since we always seem to be in the giving spirit both Tanya and I are gifting the dress to one of YOU!
I recently modeled in a show for my favorite Philadelphia brand, SAVA (waiting onprofessional photos to share). I wore a few looks but the one that really grabbed my attention was a form fitting white dress with two side panels in black (will link to it once available). I donned it the “Little Black and White Dress”. Both versatile and on trend, this is an absolute must have for any fashionista in spring 2013. Below, I am sporting my very own gifted to me by London Times a few months back. At the time, I loved the dress because it is classic and timeless…..I couldn’t have predicted the explosion of the “Black and White” for Spring. I decided to pair mine with fun bright (shocker orange) accessories to give it a fresh perspective…Hope you find some outfit inspiration:) The dress below is available in limited sizing here but I have linked to many a beautiful black and white dress……I think you will find options to flatter all body types, aesthetics and budgets. Happy Shopping!
Dress London Times available here, Leather Jacket Steve Madden via Nordstroms, Necklace c/o Zolie Designs, Bag Marc Jacobs no longer available and Shoes Christian Louboutin available here
Totally Splurge Worthy:
This Trina Turk is gorgeous and worth the splurge.
This Missoni is a slight obsession of mine right now.
This DVF is beyond and I love the little piping details in black.
Middle of the Road:
This Ann Taylor Sheath is available through size 18 as well as in Petite.
This Micheal Kors option is really soft and feminine.
This Suzi Chin dress is extremely similar to the one I am wearing above.
Budget Conscious: This one from Kohls is very spring inspired with the floral details.
This BB Dakota is so very sweet.
This Limited dress is such an inexpensive and easy way to wear this trend.
Don’t see anything you love…Pop by your favorite retailer and I am certain they are doing a version of a black and white dress!
