I LOVE reading and scrolling through fantasy fashion blogs…Atlantic Pacific, Glamourai, The Blonde Salad…it is much like art,the way they perfectly style, model and photograph their clothing. Truly editorial genius. In all honestly though, its not real life. Well, to be fair, maybe it is someones real life….but definitely not mine. A coat perfectly balancing on my shoulders….with two kids to chase after, NOT going to happen.
Over the years, I have had a few fantasy photoshoots (this and this by Adalie Scott Photography come to mind)…..but mostly, I try to document outfits you can really translate into your own life….for lack of a better phrase, outfits you can copy, so you don’t have to think about what to wear. Leave that part to me…I enjoy it:)
So, for this weeks #MondayMingle I am serving up an outfit ALL of you have..black and white with some beautiful accessories! I wore this yesterday, shopping for clients. Classic, Simple, Chic and Comfortable. Don’t forget to pop by BonBon Rose Girls and Momtrends to see their stylish posts. Link is with Kristin this week. Happy Monday!
I realize this is a slight variation of my last outfit post from Monday:) What can I say….I just have black and denim on the brain. Truth is, it is an easy effortless combination and leaves an awesome blank slate for fun colorful accessories. I plan to wear this to a babyshower on Saturday…modeling it a day early because I have no one around that morning to take photos! Think I am going to wear it exactly like this…although maybe I will skip the ponytail, and I definitely need a pedicure:) Yikes.
Denim shirt is compliments of SusieRaine and available for purchase here. LOVE the slight western influence and distressed vibe. Fit is fabulous- I am wearing a medium. Killer price over on the site today- $17! Get em while they last….I know it will sell out! Happy Shopping and hope you have an amazing weekend:)
This is the third post in the past two weeks that I have wanted to title, Simple Style. I call it like I see it, and lately my style has been just that, simple. Truthfully I never wear anything overly complicated. I like easy, fuss free clothing and accessories. How about you? After a little further thought, I titled this Denim and Details because the jacket is the stand out. I adore it and am certain there has never been a softer denim…compliments of….you guessed it…Level 99! Keeping it interesting with the details like my Stella & Dot necklace and Fibi&Clo sandals. Hope you find some outfit inspiration- I would imagine this look is REALLY easy to recreate!
#MondayMingle time with my lovely friends Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole from Momtrends. Be sure to pop by and see what style they are serving up this week. Linkup is below…as well as NEW giveaway! Thank you for stopping by and joining in the fashion fun:)
I recently dedicated an entire post to “the boyfriend short”, because, much like the boyfriend jean, I know they will be a staple in my wardrobe. You can dress them up or down….super casual with sneakers but equally as great with funky high heeled sandals. Versatility is key in my wardrobe.
I originally thought I would go pricey, but when I saw these were 29 dollars on sale, I snatched them up with zero hesitation. I love the whitewashed look…sort of 90s vibe. Its true what they say..what goes around, comes around…..especially in fashion. Hope I have convinced you to add a pair of boyfriends to your summer wardrobe…and if you already have a pair…hoping I have inspired you to try them with your favorite heels! It is such a fun combination:) Make it a great week!
Hope all of you had an amazing weekend. We had a beautiful couple days…the weather was just gorgeous here at the Jersey Shore. I had a photo session with my boys at the Boardwalk Friday…a great poolday Saturday…and then a beautiful day at Eagle Oaks for Fathers Day. Decided to sport this London Times floral dress. I will admit, I don’t wear florals often….I am not super girlie in my personal style….but sometimes you just want to wear a pretty dress. I have blogged numerous times about this brand..like here and here…..great fit, affordable pricetag…whats not to love? London Times always delivers.
Do you wear florals? How would you style this dress? I kept it simple with a cool peep toe and some fun jewelry. Hope your week is off to a great start! Don’t forget to check out my #MondayMingle friends Kristin from BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole from Momtrends…always super stylish:) Kristin is hosting. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week:)
A casual post today but probably one of my favorite outfits so far this Spring….simple style lover much? I just adore easy to wear pieces but also love adding interesting accessories to give the outfit personality. Sole Society was kind enough to send along these amazing cobalt sandals and they are going to be a favorite of mine this summer. We all know my affinity for oversized bags…and this printed Joni tote is no exception. I plan to load it up and go…all summer long!
Do you remember the East West Mamas collaboration with the lovely Tanya? We said goodbye to the series a few months ago…she was working on a new project and just didn’t think she would have the time to dedicate. Well, her new project is up, running and if I don’t say so myself pretty damn fabulous! You simply must go check out her innovative video style series… Sechoir! I am so proud of all you have accomplished and elated to share your success and fabulousness with my readership. A few weeks ago, I sent along my absolute favorite necklace from the Stella & Dot line for her to style…and she has knocked it out of the park…obviously! Check out her latest video and don’t forget to sign up for her newsletter to be entered to win a Lou&Grey tee! I am styling the SAME fabulous Rebel Pendant in gold…I am sure you recognize it! Ha!
Wishing all of you a fabulous FUN and fashionable weekend:)
If you read often you know, my favorite kind of style is simple and classic. I keep it interesting and up to date with fun trendy accessories. With this particular outfit, the accents stole the show…..leopard heels, fun studded belt and of course, all of my Stella and Dot baubles. I have many clients who are afraid to accessorize…finding it overwhelming and too much fuss. I always beg them to give it a try….usually pushing the face framers, like a great scarf or necklace. It is amazing what some color around your beautiful face can do!
This look is featured as part of the #MondayMingle collaboration with the lovelies Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole of Momtrends. We love when you link up your style posts and share what you have been wearing lately. Let’s all get fashionably inspired by one another. Link is over at BonBon Rose Girls today! Happy Monday:)
If you follow along with me on Pinterest, you will see a plethora of all black inspiration photos and I have featured the look on the blog before here. I really adore the slimming effect and with many black garments to choose from, it always makes getting dressed pretty easy. The trick is making sure to pair up completely different fabrications and textures. For example, my distressed black jeans are denim…and in order to make them NOT appear dingy, I paired them with a cableknit sweater. The fabrications are totally different…instead of looking non-matched or too worn…it just added some much needed dimension to the look. To polish it off, I popped a favorite plaid shirt underneath and a red infiniti scarf. Perfect daytime look for this busy working mama! In other news…I picked up all of the spring camos yesterday and will be shipping out to those of you who ordered by the end of the week. Oh, and if you are waiting on the jeans featured below…they should be coming in ANY day now! I hope everyone is having an awesome week and Happy Wednesday:)
Have linked up with the lovely Fashion Informant…join in the fun here….and…the lovely Baby Shopaholic here!
To say it has been hot as h*ll lately would be the understatement of the century. With an average of 100 degrees and soupy humidity in the air…it was unpleasant last week to say the least. It kind of worked out for us….both boys had the croup, so I didn’t even need to figure out a way to brave the heat…we simply stayed inside and watched movies, colored and relaxed. On Sunday, a thunderstorm accompanied by some rain cooled the temperatures down to the 80’s. Normally not sweater weather, but I think in comparison to what it had been, I was actually a little chilly that evening heading to a casual dinner with the family. I recently purchased this love sweater on super sale at Old Navy. I thought it would be adorable for running around with the kids paired with skinny jeans or boyfriends. I haven’t given this maxi much love lately and since I am trying to (with a few slip ups) “work what I got” I thought it might be fun to pair these two up! What do you all think? Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping:)

I am jetsetting to Florida for a friends wedding this weekend in the Keys. My husband and I can barely believe it, but we haven’t flown anywhere since our honeymoon seven years ago. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t beyond excited…but I would also be lying if I didn’t share that I have anxiety about leaving the kiddies and about flying in general. The irony isn’t lost on me…in my twenties…I traveled by Black Hawk helicopter from city to city in Iraq, performing for the troops stationed overseas…didn’t even phase me…but now as I mommy of two…just the thought of leaving both my kids behind makes my heart race a little….ah how times have changed. Anyone else have these same issues? Planning my travel outfit is helping me focus, of course:) This is my dream outfit- Perfect combination of comfort and style….I am going to try to get as close as I can to this inspiration below…will most likely snap a few on Instagram..if you don’t follow..you should (carlytsf)! Be back Wednesday with my monthly collaboration with November Grey…we are talking all things lipstick. All for now. Make it a great week.
I can’t tell a lie….I have been wearing workout gear the past few days. My whole mantra is telling clients not to do that….but it has been a whirlwind between the tragedy I blogged about here, preparing for Christmas Eve (which I host) and actually trying to hit the gym regularly….I just gave up a bit. Have no fear, I am back on track. Definitely feeling completely overwhelmed as I haven’t even started wrapping gifts! Forgive the scary face…I don’t always wear makeup on the daily…I usually save you from that….but wanted to get a recent outfit up on the blog and pickings were slim. Turned to my early winter staples…the denim button down, fur vest and of course the faux leather leggings. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and hoping to get one more post in before Christmas..Stay tuned:)

Sometimes simple is best. I have always adored black and white together and I am sure that will never change. If I am unsure of what to wear…I instinctively turn to my black and white pieces to pull together a chic and sophisticated look. The trick for me (to not feel stale) is to infuse a trendy accessory so I feel modern and up to date. In this case….the fedora….which is all the rage for fall. Oh, and honorable mention to my ridiculously fabulous snakeskin Brian Atwoods….I purchased them a few weeks before I broke my foot (while pregnant, remember that?) and they didn’t get nearly enough action. Making up for lost time….This is one look that everyone should easily be able to recreate….Hope you find some inspiration!

If you are anything like me, your quest for the “Great White T” is ongoing. I wear this wardrobe must have so often that I am constantly tossing them and updating. Right now I am loving the vintage worn in look and looser silhouettes. Below are my favorites available online at every pricepoint. Happy Shopping:)
Old Navy White T: A complete steal at $7.50 and available here. I own this one, and it has a soft worn vintage feel. I wish it were a tad bit looser (probably because I still have a few baby pounds to get rid of) but overall the fit and length is good.
* Pictured in Grey but available in multiple colors including white. Gap White T: For just under $30 this T has an easy fit and pairs perfectly with your favorite skinnies and a statement necklace. I think I am going to click here to purchase..what about you?
Alternative Apparel White T: I have owned this burnout style from Alternative before and wore it to DEATH. Also has a vintage “burned out” style requiring a tank underneath, but a really great fit and feel. Available here for $40.
LA Made White T: La Made takes comfort to a different level. One of my favorite “basics” brands….the pricetag is a little high for a white t….but I promise it will fast become one of your favorite items in your closet. Available for $70 here.
Hey all! Hope everyone is having a great week. The little man has been battling a stomach bug…my poor baby….but it looks like we are on the upswing. Pulling for two box clients and a few errands around town today. My usual motto of wanting to be comfortable and chic. Has there ever been a better pair then orange and brown? Hands down one of my favorite color combos. Hope you find some outfit inspiration:)
Ivory Shirt Old Navy, Orange Blazer Casual Collections similar style here, Palazzo Pants Ark & Co similar style in black here, belt gifted similar style here, Necklace c/o Chloe and Isabel, Bracelet unknown, Bag Vintage, Booties Seychelles

I purchased this beautiful leopard poncho last week….I really didn’t NEED it, but was shopping for someone on the old Xmas list….and oops…ended up with a little something for myself. I just couldn’t leave it there…..conjuring up a million different ways to wear it in my head. I am holding myself to it- so look forward to seeing quite a few cameo’s of this bad boy. The rest was quite simple- ivory and chocolate brown- one of my all time favorite color combo’s. Little pop of green for some holiday cheer:) Hope you find some outfit inspiration.
