This is the third post in the past two weeks that I have wanted to title, Simple Style. I call it like I see it, and lately my style has been just that, simple. Truthfully I never wear anything overly complicated. I like easy, fuss free clothing and accessories. How about you? After a little further thought, I titled this Denim and Details because the jacket is the stand out. I adore it and am certain there has never been a softer denim…compliments of….you guessed it…Level 99! Keeping it interesting with the details like my Stella & Dot necklace and Fibi&Clo sandals. Hope you find some outfit inspiration- I would imagine this look is REALLY easy to recreate!
#MondayMingle time with my lovely friends Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole from Momtrends. Be sure to pop by and see what style they are serving up this week. Linkup is below…as well as NEW giveaway! Thank you for stopping by and joining in the fashion fun:)
I recently dedicated an entire post to “the boyfriend short”, because, much like the boyfriend jean, I know they will be a staple in my wardrobe. You can dress them up or down….super casual with sneakers but equally as great with funky high heeled sandals. Versatility is key in my wardrobe.
I originally thought I would go pricey, but when I saw these were 29 dollars on sale, I snatched them up with zero hesitation. I love the whitewashed look…sort of 90s vibe. Its true what they say..what goes around, comes around…..especially in fashion. Hope I have convinced you to add a pair of boyfriends to your summer wardrobe…and if you already have a pair…hoping I have inspired you to try them with your favorite heels! It is such a fun combination:) Make it a great week!
We postponed our annual family 4th of July BBQ to the 5th…due to the rain and crappy weather. Good thing we held out because you couldn’t have dreamt a prettier day. Beautiful weather, good eats and all my family…doesn’t get much better than that!
Comfort is key when I am with the kids…but I always like to feel stylish too. Easy fitting shorts, loose printed tank and leather flip flops most definitely did the trick. The Stella Dot Sardinia necklace has been in regular rotation for a few months…just the perfect splash of color! My take on red, white and blue:)
It’s #MondayMingle time:) Pop by BonBon Rose Girls and Momtrends stylish blogs to see what they are wearing:) The link is being hosted by Kristin . Hope you will join in the fashion fun! Make it a great week:)
Ah, where to start today…where to start? If you are a personal friend on FB you may have seen me make mention of having the most disappointing of days yesterday. Someone, who I thought was truly a friend…heard something about me..thought the worst of me…. When we finally spoke, I apologized about our misunderstanding from a really humble and honest place (I am a Libra, so if you tell me your side of things, I will always most likely understand). This friend of over 4 years did not take accept that apology…..instead continued on…saying she is too trusting of people like me. People like me? Close to tears, I left the conversation. Walked away. I feel horrible about it. I have lost a relationship and that is always hard. I am taking solace in knowing that although I am totally flawed in many ways, at my core is a really good person who tries to do her best for her family, friends, clients and herself. I have to believe in that…and myself….more than this nonsense drama…right? Right? Well that is my mantra anyway.
On a much lighter note…how freaking fabulous is this RD Style dress? I am obsessed with it…dreaming up different ways to wear it. Bright shoes….with a blazer….without a belt…big colorful statement necklace….you see the limitless possibilities…no? Since I am mentally exhausted and actually about to head out for a Roll in the Rack with a new client…I will leave you with the photos. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great weekend:)
I wore this all white look out for Girls Night on Saturday:) A few friends and I had dinner at our favorite sushi joint and then hit a riverside bar afterwards. I haven’t danced that much in a long time…and it felt GOOD! I have mentioned before that I reserve most of my “white” attire (aside from casual tees) for adult time. When I am with the kids…white just does NOT make sense…but a night out with the girls is the perfect time to rock this trend! So stylish! How about you? Would you wear all white?
It is #MondayMingle time and I am happy to be hosting this week! Please be sure to pop by and see what Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole of Momtrends are wearing on this glorious Monday. I hope you will link up your stylish posts below:) Make it a great week.
If you follow along with my Instagram, you saw that I hosted a fashion seminar at Jon Lori Salon on Monday. I shared top trends for fall 2013 and also talked about sprucing up your wardrobe with accessories, since most days the salon staff has to wear all black. In the hair industry, much like in fashion, you are your business card. If you look good and project confidence, people will want to work with you. Simple as that.
I decided to sport some fav trends myself including leather leggings, leopard booties and my distressed denim vest. Thank you to the RD Style team for this amazing lime green sweater (and some other goodies I will be sharing soon). I received numerous compliments on the dynamic color…and it is perfect for this time of year with leather or dark denim.
The the standout for me was NO DOUBT this amazing STATEMENT necklace made by the lovely Larissa of Zolie Designs. I seriously could not love her necklaces more…some blog love….here, here, here, here and here….told ya I adored! Anyway…we decided to partner up this fall and create a ONE OF A KIND necklace just for TSF readers. Lucky YOU! Details on how to purchase below. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping!

I just purchased this RD Style Floral top and HAD TO SHARE! How great is the longer hem in the back? Such a fun take on the typical casual “T”! Paired it with my new Riley boyfriend jeans which I plan on LIVING in for the next few months. They are old repurposed Levis…..So comfortable:) Both the shirt and jeans are from, yes you guessed it, Lola’s!
What I love most about the shirt..is that it can totally transition to dressy- simply by tucking it in. For a more formal look I paired it with this adorable RYU black cotton skirt. Hope you find some outfit inspiration!

Saturday, My hubby and I met a few couples out on the town at one of our favorite spots, Avenue in Long Branch. It was a great time catching up with some of our closest friends. Dressed (what I consider) casual chic. I picked up these fabulous silky cargos at Lola’s by RD Style. Loving this brand for affordable and fashionable wear. Happy Shopping!

I am making a commitment to myself….NO SHOPPING UNTIL MARCH! Seriously.
We are having friends over today at the house with all their kiddies for a fun post holiday playdate which gave me a reason to find a cute casual outfit and really search through my closet. I found SO many things with tags and realized that I hit the January SALES with such gusto….I may have overdone it a bit. Oops! Some of my guilty pleasures were the Nicole Miller Philadelphia Sale, the Lolas Sale, and a few others.
The good news …..it was super easy to find a casual chic outfit today to host friends at our home. The bad news is I have to STOP shopping until the spring weather hits because I do not need a DAMN thing.
Well, maybe a few accessories here and there……
Shirt Nicole Miller Collection from Nicole Miller Philadelphia
Silk Cargo Pants by RD Style from Lola’s
Tank Banana Republic
Shoes Stuart Weitzman
I really couldn’t love the easy draping of this silk shirt…and the watercolor in OLIVE, my fav color. Nicole Miller is my staple. There isn’t much she does design wise that I am not in love with. This shirt and I were simply meant to be.
LOVE the pockets on these pants. So comfortable and the steel grey color goes with EVERYTHING! This is a new brand for me, RD Style…I feel lucky to have found them and hope their spring collection is a lovely as the fall.
Came inside for the earrings pic…they kept blowing in the cold January air and you couldn’t tell how FABULOUS they are. In love with the vivid colors and they are light as a feather, hahaha:)
