Little Black Dress: Take It Up A Notch

We all have one.  We all love the fit.  It is our fail safe when we simply “have nothing else to wear”.

Are we excited to wear it? Probably not.

Four Tips: Getting Excited for Your Little Black Dress!

1.  Style your dress with killer shoes.  The pair featured below (super sale by Rachel Zoe) are available locally through me, very limited sizes.  If a heeled gladiator is way too trend driven for you…try leopard like HERE or even red like HERE.

2.  Pile on the accessories.  Typically, I keep my accessories to a minimum.  Big earrings=simple necklace.  Big necklace=stud earrings….But….with a simple black dress….I say pile it on, baby!  Get the look via Stella and Dot HERE.

3.  Add a belt.  Available HERE and HERE.

4.  Grab a fantastic clutch.  Fringe is kind of everything for me this fall…but whatever strikes your fancy go out and grab it!  You can find fun, unique clutches everywhere these days.  One featured below is HERE.

Monday Mingle: Lysse Leggings

I love being close to downtown Point Pleasant….actually I think it is the only thing that has saved me after my abrupt move from Center City Philly to the quiet and peace of seaside living.  Awesome boutiques and retail shops, delicious restaurants, great energy…I am so thankful to only live five quick minutes away.  If you are ever in the Jersey Shore area…definitely add it to your list, not a town to miss.

I hosted a little blogger meetup Friday night at Lola’s Boutique.  I wore my new Lysse leggings…kind of obsessed with this brand since discovering them here.  They were so kind to send me a few pairs from their Spring line…don’t you love the lace details?  I kept it simple with a tunic, trusted leather vest and spiced it up with red and leopard.  What do you think?

It is #MondayMingle time ladies….The fashionable collaboration between myself, Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole of Momtrends.  The linkup is hosted at BonBon Rose Girls this week so pop by and join in the fun:)  Heading into NYC this morning to meet some of my favorite blogging buddies to talk fashion, collaborations and maybe indulge in a afternoon cocktail….Shhhh.  I hope you find some outfit inspiration and  make it a great week:)

Black and White Bags to Covet

If you follow the blog you know that my husband splurged a while back and got me the most amazing bright orange Marc Jacobs handbag last year…I wear it constantly and LOVE that it adds an instant pop of color to any outfit I throw on.  That said, I am craving something more muted for this Spring/Summer.  I have done some alot of online browsing and have decided that a black and white bag would be the perfect addition to my handbag collection.  Not only is it so “on trend” for 2013, it is classic enough to stick around for at least a few seasons. Of course, my favorites are anything but “typical”….Round up for all budgets is below….Enjoy and Happy Shopping:)
