Cozying up in Coin 1804

I love Coin 1804 for casual cozy pieces and have featured them often on the blog like here, here and here!  Who says maxi’s are only for the summertime?  I love everything about this comfortable yet chic maxi skirt available here….it pairs perfectly with a pair of moto inspired booties and layers upon layers.  Speaking of layers..how amazing is this cardigan? I kept the accessories and jewelry to a minimum, which I always do when I am with the kids and have multiple errands to run.  How about you?  Do you skimp on jewelry and accessories when you are dressed casually?  I wore this shopping for clients and running around with the boys last week….got a few compliments in the grocery store and UPS which is always the measure of a successful outfit…in suburbia at least:)

Thank you to my clients and friends who came to support my style event last night.  It was SUCH fun shopping with all of you.  The lovely makeup artists from Neimans intro’d me to a killer RED lipstick from Bobbi Brown (which will be reviewed on the blog) and I also scooped up the most amazing Ash moto booties…I die over them and can’t wait to share in an upcoming style post.  I am off to a wedding this weekend in Atlanta…follow along on Instagram for beautiful black tie fashions and snippets of my getaway!  Happy Weekend!

East West Mama’s: A Collaboration of Style and GIVEAWAY!

The trendy online store Flat84 so kindly sent Tanya and I the same dress to feature for this months East West Mama’s collaboration.  I was elated when I opened the package to discover the ever so popular black and white trend (which I obviously love from a recent post here).  I was slightly deflated when I realized the size medium was positively innapropriate…my umentionables were completely exposed.  I thought for a bit….maybe I could exchange it for something else….then realized..it would be super cute as a tunic. This is a good tip for many of us thirtysomethings and beyond.  If you are loving a particular dress or have something in your closet that feels too short, remember you can always rock it with a great pair of leggings and in this case faux leather ones.  It instantly makes the dress appropriate and super chic.  Being as Tanya is more petite than I, the dress was the perfect length on her…hope you enjoy the way she styled it up on her blog here.  She is looking amazing, right? No fair.

It appears like Flat84 is transitioning from their winter to spring merchandise and spring items are sparse..but  there are some serious deals to be had.  For example, if you love the faux leather legging look…they have a cute pair on sale here.  Or this super cute camo jacket which you can wear well into spring with t-shirts and boyfriend skinnies.

Since we always seem to be in the giving spirit both Tanya and I are gifting the dress to one of YOU!

The Weekender

We had a pretty busy weekend.  I had a ton of errands on Saturday preparing for Prestons christening, which is this coming Sunday and met a client later in the afternoon.  Sunday we went to our dear friends christening of their sweet baby girl, Nicolette.  The reception took place at the Brownstone…yes….the Brownstone from Real Housewives of New Jersey….despite the TV drama that takes place there…it is actually a beautiful facility and the food is delicious.  Anyway….What I wore running around Saturday…Hope you find some outfit inspiration…Bringing you a fun collaboration and giveaway this Wednesday so don’t be stranger:)

Piperlime- Fav Platform Sandals

Hi all! Okay so it has been a few days….I was going strong with everyday posts- but “life” …..baby, work, social life etc., took over this past week!
I am back with a post about my favorite platform sandals for summer. It has been warm for about a week and the month of April hit- so you really can’t kick it in your wintery looking shoes anymore. Pack them away in their pretty little boxes and shop on one of my favorite shoe sites for some fabulous spring shoes!

First pick are the Joie Escapade retailing for $345.00- Loving the gladiator inspiration and the “tough” look of the shoe. Would look super cute with a flowy floral number….. opposite styles that would really compliment eachother.

Next is the Michael Antonio Hadrian in tan. This retails for $70.00, a much less expensive way to achieve the gladiator look. Loving that this is a wedge, alot easier to wear for longer periods of time. Good and bad news on this one….it is synthetic so it is not real leather- which can be a benefit as the shoe will be really light and easy to walk in for spring. Some folks don’t like a non leather shoe (and the way it feels on their feet) so if that is you, you will want to pass on this one.

Third is the Joie You’re so Vain sandal in Misty Rose for $325.00. Loving the sort of off beat color on this thong platform sandal. Sort of a pink beige. Would go with EVERYTHING and is a nice change from tan or gold.

Fourth and final pick for today is the Mia Christina sandal in sand suede (also available in black) for $69.00. This is a great price for a suede shoe. Basically the bottom part of the shoe is synthetic, making it lightweight and easy to walk in, but the footbed is padded in leather and the top of the shoe is all genuine suede. Sort of the best of both worlds- less expensive price tag, great look, and all the parts that touch your feet are genuine leather/suede. Definitely a GREAT shoe for spring.

All of the above are available now at www.piperline.gap.com. This is a fantastic shoe site (also carries accessories and apparell) so enjoy checking it out. Also fun to check out the “Rachel Zoe Picks” section- she is an incredible celeb stylist and always has great suggestions.
Happy Shopping!
