We just experienced a freaking blizzard here at the shore (ok, I am exaggerating slightly)…but we got over ten inches and it is close to zero outside…so I am calling it a blizzard. Thankfully I took these photos on Monday…I had an afternoon appointment with a boutique and then went to meet a friend for dinner. My style has been all over the map lately preppy, simple, bohemian…one common denominator is easy. You won’t see complicated layers, ridiculous amounts of accessories or hard to wear pieces…life is so complicated most days…getting dressed shouldn’t be.
Definitely a go-to look for me….White tee, blazer and skinnies…of course when the skinnies are leather and the blazer is sequined, you are definitely achieving a dressier vibe…but easy to create none the less. Hope you find some outfit inspiration. As always, links to purchase similar items below the first photo. Happy Wednesday:)
* PS…I finally had to replace my Nicole Miller leather skinnies with the Vince moto ones below…LOVE the fit! A little higher on the waist, no plumbers cr*ck, and they zipper and button like a jean. They were 1/2 off..still really pricey but I know they will get a TON of wear. Link to them below the first photo.
I purchased this sequin blazer on sale in the dead of summer knowing it would be a fabulous addition to my fall wardrobe. The first lift of humidity and I wore it with all white here. Since then, I had forgotten about it:) Thankfully a reader (who purchased it) asked me to style it for fall….I happily obliged. When a piece packs this much punch, I tend to keep it simple otherwise…loved the mix of the casual distressed skinnies and casual braided belt mixed in with the showiness of the sequin blazer. I am also thinking paired with leather skinnies later in the season will be cute, no? What do you think? How would you style it?
I have a friends baby shower tomorrow…and can’t wait to wear this dress again, at least that is what I think I am wearing. I am off to enjoy my friends, my boys, my weekend……if you want to stay in touch with my fashionable adventures…you are welcome to follow along on Instagram here! HAPPY WEEKEND:)

In my opinion there has never been a better time to be a personal stylist than now. Gone are the days of only wearing white after labor day, never pairing navy blue and black together or reserving shorts for just the summer months. Today, we wear white year round, navy and black is one of our most popular pairings and shorts designed in heavy fabrics with tights…yes yes yes! When I am hired to help women, as long as it is appropriate, fits well and they feel great in it….there really are no rules to follow. Your personality can really shine through your wardrobe.
I truly thought I would save the debut of this sequin blazer for early fall….but it rained yesterday, the temperature cooled off to 74 degrees and I thought….why not? I had an impromptu dinner date with a friend/client to discuss some collaborations for late summer and I wanted to look just plain cool. I thought pairing the sequins with all white and pushing up the sleeves made it seasonably appropriate…what do you all think??? You will definitely be seeing a good amount of this blazer come September..I LOVE it! Hope you find some outfit inspiration:)
