Easy Summer: SusieRaine

I am, obviously a huge fan of simple easy to wear style…especially in the hot summer months like August. Comfort is king with this particular look featured below….yet I didn’t have to sacrifice style…and I definitely am budget friendly!  This shirt and short combo can be yours for just $30!  What I love most, is I can easily pair this top with white jeans, denim skinnies or even printed pants for fall.  The shorts would be adorable with a solid colored tank/tee and a blazer come the cooler weather.  If I am feeling a little edgy, the shorts might even be cute with tights and boots!  Ah, the possibilities.

A big sincere THANK YOU to the ladies of online shop SusieRaine, for gifting me this adorable look and allowing me to share this amazing DEAL with my readers.  I know sizing is limited, so hurry along now ladies:)  HAPPY SHOPPING!

*I am wearing a SMALL top and MEDIUM shorts.  The shirt runs full, and although I usually like a Medium shirt, Small fits perfectly.  On the bottom I am a 4/6- usually closer to 6 and the medium also fits me perfectly.

Easy Style: Black, White and a Pop of Color!

I adore the simple pairing of black and white….classic, chic and never out of style.  I especially love it paired with a pop of color.  For me, that pop of color is often orange.  If I were to have a signature color, orange is what it would be.  I have some amazing investment pieces in the color, one being the Marc Jacobs bag featured below.  I am also fairly certain no other accessory has gotten as much wear as this Zolie Designs statement necklace.

Style tip:  Spice up your classic black and white pieces with your favorite bright colored accessories.  It is a subtle way to welcome Spring without looking like you are trying too hard.

Hope you find some outfit inspiration!  We finally have some warmer temperatures here in Jersey…and even though they come with rain, I am NOT complaining.  Happy weekend to all:)

Memorial Stripes

The weather was ALL over the map this weekend at the Jersey Shore. It started rainy and cold on Saturday, cleared up to sunny and windy on Sunday….then the most beautiful day you could possibly dream up arrived on Monday…how fitting to honor those who serve and protect our freedom each and every day.  We entertained family, went to a bbq, out for drinks with a few friends and then Sunday we were poolside for most of the day. It was a nice and relaxing weekend…just what the doctor ordered:) Crazy to think last Memorial Day I looked like this, obviously I didn’t reinvent the wheel too much in my blue and white stripes with a navy vest…hey, when it works..it works!  My newest mommy fashion obsession?  Bermuda shorts!  What has taken me so long to jump on this bandwagon?  I find them super flattering, comfortable and way more appropriate for chasing after my kiddies (short shorts will no longer do for me).  Hope you find some outfit inspiration and don’t forget to enter the giveaway below🙂

Black and White Bags to Covet

If you follow the blog you know that my husband splurged a while back and got me the most amazing bright orange Marc Jacobs handbag last year…I wear it constantly and LOVE that it adds an instant pop of color to any outfit I throw on.  That said, I am craving something more muted for this Spring/Summer.  I have done some alot of online browsing and have decided that a black and white bag would be the perfect addition to my handbag collection.  Not only is it so “on trend” for 2013, it is classic enough to stick around for at least a few seasons. Of course, my favorites are anything but “typical”….Round up for all budgets is below….Enjoy and Happy Shopping:)

Maternity Mondays: Best Friends

If you read the blog, you know I am smitten with orange but I must say, this is one of my first “hot pink” items.  I don’t have anything against the color, just tend to gravitate towards neutrals and warmer tones.  I am elated to add this piece to my wardrobe and am already dreaming up the outfits in my head.  I have also come to the conclusion that orange and hot pink are best friends. They look amazing together. Who says you have to ditch bright bold colors during your pregnancy?

I recently joined a group of mama bloggers to style a head to toe look from Loft.  They were so kind to send me a gift card, and I was so kind to hit the store and shop with it, haha!  I have to say Loft has made some major changes since I last visited.  Although they do have maternity, I shopped the regular collection and below is what I ended up taking home. The brighter the better today…..hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping!

Cross Body Bags….

I am officially smitten with this bag! I have TWO Marc by Marc Jacobs bags from seasons past. They are made so well…..it makes me wonder why I would ever shell out the extra hundreds of dollars to have a Marc Jacobs minus the extra Marc!

Seriously though- this bag is to die for. It hits the biggest trend for spring/summer 2010- The cross body style! I also love that it is a petite bag. As much as we all love our luggage looking totes, give your back a break and hit the streets in something fresh and small for spring.

The “Little Kelsey” bag retails for $248.00. Beautifully crafted with fun silver zipper details and made of the softest pebbled leather- this bag is sure to please. Pictured above in “saddle”, this bag also comes in black and a really fun bright blue (turquoise). It is available at all major department stores like Bloomies, Macy’s and Nordstroms but I first saw it on www.shopbop.com. As I have said before….shopbop is running a cool promo- Free shipping on all “ground” deliveries-so it makes sense to order from that site- unless you are making a trip to the mall!

Happy Shopping!
