I am not even sure how to intro these killer embellished jeans…I mean? Really! I am obsessed. Simple, slouchy, chic…all my favorite things. Here at the shore, we do a lot of casual dinners with friends….these boyfriends are SO perfect for those type of festivities. Not over the top…but still more special than the skinnies you wear to the soccer field! Right?
Monday Mingle time again. Stop by my favorite fashionistas BonBon Rose Girls and Momtrends, to see what they are styling up. The link is being hosted by Nicole this week:)
Heading to my favorite city tonight, Philadelphia, for a really cool event and cannot WAIT to show you the outfit I am wearing. Follow along on Instagram if you wish. Make it a great Monday!
Jeans Level 99 available through ME (email firstname.lastname@example.org)
Here in New Jersey, we are having an extremely mild August. It was downright chilly over the weekend. Gorgeous…but chilly. I wore this out to dinner and drinks the other evening. You know I love mixing my distressed boyfriends with killer heels and was elated to carry my NEW grey clutch! I hopped right on my trend forecast HERE and purchased my first grey accessory for fall……definitely not my last! Hope you find some outfit inspiration:)
I recently dedicated an entire post to “the boyfriend short”, because, much like the boyfriend jean, I know they will be a staple in my wardrobe. You can dress them up or down….super casual with sneakers but equally as great with funky high heeled sandals. Versatility is key in my wardrobe.
I originally thought I would go pricey, but when I saw these were 29 dollars on sale, I snatched them up with zero hesitation. I love the whitewashed look…sort of 90s vibe. Its true what they say..what goes around, comes around…..especially in fashion. Hope I have convinced you to add a pair of boyfriends to your summer wardrobe…and if you already have a pair…hoping I have inspired you to try them with your favorite heels! It is such a fun combination:) Make it a great week!
One of the boutiques I work with invited me to her denim buy for fall last week…… “boyfriends” are still majorly on the scene! Thank goodness, because they are my absolute favs. I mean, who doesn’t love a good skinny jean…but boyfriends…well they just have a cool factor that is hard to describe. I ESPECIALLY love pairing them with strappy heels for a night out….the juxtaposition of the casual and dressy is just my style:) I went to a dinner with a few friends Saturday night and this is what I wore. Pretty silk tank, some fun accessories, boyfriends and my new Steve Madden strappies (that I got for the wedding I went to Friday night, but think they will serve me well otherwise). Honorable mention to my almost makeup free face…I rarely do that for a night out….but with a slight tan it just seemed to work…I freaking LOVE summer for that reason:)
It’s #MondayMingle time! The stylish collaboration between myself, BonBon Rose Girls and Momtrends. Nicole is hosting this week so pop by her site to join in the fun. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week!
I have been talking about adding a tuxedo styled blazer into my wardrobe for months….and just never found the right one. I wanted quality so it could remain for a few seasons, but I didn’t want to spend a small fortune. When this Aryn K piece arrived last week to the stores I work with….I immediately snatched one up for myself…and then added it to two of my The Box Service clients. At $105 it was the perfect price point and Aryn K is a favorite boutique brand of mine. Win, win and win! Hope they love it as much as I do. This will be a repeat offender here on the blog this Spring! Have a fantastic Monday:)
* A great big thank you to all the friends family and clients who attended my Spring Preview event:)
WhenNaturalizer first reached out to partner up….I wasn’t sure I was going to say yes. When I started in retail years ago and was going to be on my feet for hours upon hours an associate recommended trying their shoes. She shared their unmatched comfort for standing all day. I vividly remember going to the store and not being able to envision myself in one single pair. That was over 13 years ago…knowing things can change….I quickly popped by their site…and was seriously shockedat the transformation the brand has undergone. It was so hard to choose a pair…I loved these, these, and these but push came to shove, I ended up with thesefeatured below! I LOVE the army green color and they are the perfect mom on the go wedge. Oh and if you are looking for the perfect workday pump…look no further because here it is! Pop by thesite and check out all they have to offer. Most styles are on sale right now too! Win win:) Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week!
This old red house…..My Nana and Pop (my mothers parents) owned it at one time! Isn’t it cool? It was the perfect backdrop for todays photo session…..it takes up the entire corner of the street. My mom always says she wishes they had kept it….it was is a cool house. I must say, this is an example of one of the greatest things about moving to the Jersey Shore….my mother grew up in Point Pleasant and it has been amazing reconnecting with the town that she lived in. Growing up we always visited, but living here has been a totally different experience…one I am still getting used to…but the connection to the town is undeniably neat. I used to say I loved the anonymity of a big city but there might just be something to this small town living:)
So sorry for not bringing you East West Mamas last month….Tanya was whisked away to Paris by her husband (so freaking amazing) and it was just too hectic trying to get it together. Here we are in July with an amazing feature and giveaway sponsored by Coin 1804. You might remember me sporting a few of their items last summer super preggers like here and here. I really love their casual vibe and find their tees and layering pieces to be both on trend and affordable. I have decided I am obsessed with this top for early fall and it will most likely be mine. So pop over to November Grey to see how she is sporting her tee ..looking amazing in that all white ensemble, right? She is also hosting her OWN GIVEAWAY…so don’t miss out. Yesterday I visited my 48 degree house (still no power) and grabbed some clothing for the next few days. It seemed strange to be poking around in my dark closet for a fashionable blogworthy outfit….but I also admit that I just simply needed something to return to normal…and since we can’t go home yet…my wardrobe is about the ONLY thing I can control. I decided to do a little work and processed some box service clients and visited one of the boutiques I work with that has their power back. In the late afternoon, I took the boys over to my sister’s to visit…they JUST got their power back and it was a nice change of scenery from my parents house. This is what I wore…I told you, you will be seeing ALOT of this Rachel Zoe leather vest. It was a total season splurge and I knew it would look great with pretty much everything in my closet. Hope you find some outfit inspiration:)
Blouse Ketz-ke, Jeans Levi’s, Leather Vest Rachel Zoe sold out but camel available here, Gold Hoops unknown, Necklace Coach old style, Boots Stuart Weitzman similar available here, Scarf Lola’s Boutique, Bag Louis Vuitton
Linked up for Monday Mingle with the lovely Glamamom
I am feeling very fortunate lately, as all my hard work for this blog is beginning to pay off. Aside from my box service going strong, I am starting to be contacted by brands/products that really “make sense” for all of my readers and clients (for a long time I would get horribly random product pitches hence the reason you never saw them on the blog). It brings me such joy to highlight great items for you or often times give them away to you. Of course, it is also nice to get complimentary product from these brands for my own use:) A few weeks ago I was introduced to a brand called Baby Cargo. They are a newer company who made their mark with what I would call a badass umbrella stroller (honestly wish I had known about it before buying my McLaren). They are in the midst of launching The Georgi Bag. I was lucky enough to be gifted one to try out and I am SO smitten, I couldn’t wait to share with all of my mommy readers…more up close pictures and details on the bag below. This is what I wore casually for a playdate Saturday…honorable mention to my bestie who came to visit last week in the cutest TOMS suede wedges that I just had to run out and buy. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping!
Boyfriend Jeans Riley, Tank M Rena, Blouse Old Navy available here, Necklace Stella and Dot no longer available, TOMS wedges available here, Georgi Diaper Bag c/o Baby Cargo and available here
Now for the “Georgi”! I love this bag and here’s why:
1. Doesn’t look like a diaper bag and can definitely be used after the lil ones aren’t so little
2. Husband said he would actually carry this diaper bag (first time ever in three years)
3. Price is right at $59.99 and looks and feels WAY more expensive.
4. Super lightweight (even with all my crap in it) so it doesn’t weigh you down.
5. Crossbody…hands free…..need I say more?
6. Comes in FOUR really great color combinations
7. Grommets that slide over umbrella stroller handles so you don’t have to carry the bag at all
8. Spacious with room for diapers, wipes, diaper cream, extra clothes and whatever else you need
9. Fabrication is easy to clean, just wipe it down with cloth and warm water
10. Super stylish and modern
Now through October 10th you can pre order the Georgi for FREE SHIPPING and NO SALES TAX! So pop over to the Baby Cargo site and see if this diaper bag is the perfect one for you. I also wanted to mention their Pinterest Contest for a chance to win fabulous prizes….Good luck!
Do you remember my Christmas List posted here? I shared on FB that hubs prepared me…the Brian Atwood’s wouldn’t be under the tree (sold out). I was sad but found an equally fabulous pair of Stuart Weitzman’s to admire. Well, he lied. They were under my tree…and now featured in this outfit post! How amazing are they? Let me count the ways…j/k. I know you are probably thinking that FUR VEST again Carly…really? The truth is, I wear this vest at least twice a week. I think I can safely say this “splurge” has come down to dollars per wear…might not impress some of my super thrifting blog buddies, but pretty darn good for me:) Oh and I have also decided that navy blue and black are besties:) Off to visit some friends in DC and attend a baby soiree…and of course, I styled her for the shower..photos to come…hope you find some inspiration!
Tank Rena, Blouse Banana Republic, Vest Vintage Havana, Jeans Riley, Belt Nicole Miller, Necklace Jan Michaels, Fedora Collection, Shoes Brian Atwood and Bag Burberry
I often address this on the blog…..as a stay at home mom MOST days, I don’t really have a need to “dress up” on the regular. I refuse to let that mean yoga pants and workout tanks. Today I have a ton of errands to run…grocery store, dry cleaners, the dreaded dental appointment….BUT I still wanted to look chic running around town. I find scarves and jewelry to be the easiest way to dress up the simplest of outfits- Ivory shirt and jeans…boring…add in colorful headscarf and statement necklace..and suddenly you feel great in what you are wearing. Let’s face it…that is what it is all about- Feeling great- no matter what the day has in store!
Shirt Nicole Miller, Headscarf Pucci, Necklace Marilyn Schiff, Earrings Stella and Dot, Jeans Riley (repurposed Levi’s) Wedges Toms
I have a pair of TOMS flats and love them so much, I recently purchased these wedges. They go with everything, are very comfortable and it makes me feel good knowing every time I buy a pair, a child in need gets a pair too!
If you follow along with the blog, you know I love vintage and vintage inspired jewelry- Worship this necklace that I just purchased at J Karma Boutique when I visited Philly last week. Very reasonably priced at $48.00
