He Lied

Do you remember my Christmas List posted here?  I shared on FB that hubs prepared me…the Brian Atwood’s wouldn’t be under the tree (sold out).  I was sad but found an equally fabulous pair of Stuart Weitzman’s to admire.  Well, he lied.  They were under my tree…and now featured in this outfit post! How amazing are they? Let me count the ways…j/k.   I know you are probably thinking that FUR VEST again Carly…really?  The truth is, I wear this vest at least twice a week. I think I can safely say this “splurge” has come down to dollars per wear…might not impress some of my super thrifting blog buddies, but pretty darn good for me:)  Oh and I have also decided that navy blue and black are besties:)  Off to visit some friends in DC and attend a baby soiree…and of course, I styled her for the shower..photos to come…hope you find some inspiration!

Have a great weekend everyone!

My family knows me all too well. The killer over the knee boots were a gift from my husband, the fringe earrings a gift from my mom and dad, and the fedora a gift from my aunt. So I am officially gifted in this outfit post. I am a fan of the shorts trend in the winter…paired with nice thick tights……youthful and yet still appropriate for this 30something mama. Wore this to an early bird NYE dinner…we laid very low this year. Hope you find some outfit inspiration:)

Twas Two Nights Before Christmas

The hubs and I decided to reward our gift wrapping over achievement by heading out to dinner with a few friends. It feels great to be completely DONE! Thought I would share my latest look. Most everything is old news EXCEPT for these ridiculously fabulous Nicole Miller leather pants. I have wanted leather pants for eons…never found the right pair….until now! I will be focused on enjoying Christmas through my little guys eyes the next few days…So wishing you the HAPPIEST and MERRIEST of Holidays and look forward to catching up with everyone on Monday.

I recently purchased the palazzo pants featured below and have been LIVING in them.  Aside from being super stylish, they are also incredibly comfortable…and for this mom on the go…..that is of the utmost importance.  The purchase also brought new life to some “oldies but goodies” from my closet, like this Nicole Miller camo cashmere sweater.  Hope you find some outfit inspiration:)

New Fav…..Shop Frankie’s

I was beyond excited (and not the least bit surprised) when one of my favorite blogging buddies, Nicole of Frankie Hearts Fashion launched her very own shopping site, Shop Frankie’s a few weeks ago. The shop is a perfectly curated collection of affordable, trendy, modern pieces that are sure to add a little KICK to your wardrobe. Nicole is oober stylish and I am always inspired when I visit her blog…..I can really relate to her casual laid back vibe. So hop on over…You won’t be disappointed. With Nicole’s amazing fashion “eye” and prices that won’t break the bank…I have a feeling I will be a repeat offender. Happy Shopping!

70’s Flare

So sorry for the delay in posts…I picked up 3 new box clients Monday and had a few meetings in Philadelphia. It proved to be a much more chaotic week then I originally anticipated. Lately,  I have been reaching for these Level 99 flared jeans for all my casual commitments. The fit and length are perfect and I feel VERY Farrah Fawcett when I wear them.  Celebrating my 6th wedding anniversary here in Jersey and the weather couldn’t be more beautiful….clear and sunny skies with a briskness in the air. We are off to a day of shopping (for hubs not me)…..in and out of stores and most likely a million temperature changes…layering felt like a smart move.  Hope you find some outfit inspiration and have a great weekend!

Fall Favorites

So, this week is a little insane for me….I am coordinating a live fashion show taking place at Trump National in Bedminster.  Of course I am excited for the show- but have so much to do..models, music, staff….I almost don’t know where to start.  I PROMISE to share some photos from the show….and also made a few fabulous fashion purchases for the holidays that I can’t wait to style/share……but for now, you will have to settle with some fall highlights and favorite trends.  Things will be back to normal (in life and on blog) soon:)

Make it a great week!

This particular dress is beyond gorgeous…the photos don’t do the bead work and intricate details justice. I decided to let the dress do most of the work and kept the accessories to a minimum. The dress is from the Naeem Khan Timeless Collection for HSN.  Unfortunately, most of the collection is sold out….but if you remember my post here, Naeem’s amazing faux fur collection is coming out in a few short days. Nice addition to the old Christmas list, no? If you love the idea of “holiday white” for your parties etc….hop on over to Nordstrom’s site, they seemed to have a couple beautiful options. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping!

Ladies Who Lunch!

I attended a bridal tea over the weekend to celebrate my dear friend Lindsey’s upcoming nuptials. There was an adorable hat theme….which was a lot of fun. I had the best intentions of hitting a few hat boutiques and/or vintage shops to find something beyond fabulous BUT I have been so busy with work and little man that time just got away from me. Pulled together this look the day before- One of my favorite beach hats by San Diego Hat Company seemed to fit the bill. It was great seeing Lindsey and friends from Philadelphia. Looking forward to her wedding this December- Hope you find some outfit inspiration and have a great week 🙂

Couldn’t be more obsessed with RYU!

Okay so I just started working a couple times a month at this ADORABLE boutique around my house at the jersey shore called….The Spot. A delivery of pre fall merchandise came while I was working the other day and I about DIED and went to heaven with peices from this new LA based company called RYU.
Featured first is the Gathered Metallic Jacket retailing for 81.00 available in metallic gold in sizes S-L. We are not carrying this one at the boutique but it is avaialable at www.hunnyjewelry.com.
Featured second above is a ruffled bolero jacket that is to die for. It is bolero style with the most beautiful ruffle details- The jacket has a great fit (sized S-L) and has a slight satiny sheen to it- making it fabulous for over a cocktail dress or equally as fabulous with a great tank and jeans. The boutique I am working at is carrying the above jacket in black and in ivory for $89.00, did I mention how AMAZINGLY AFFORDABLE the brand is? Those who know me, I wouldn’t lie…it LOOKS AND FEELS SOOO EXPENSIVE!

The catch is that RYU is really new and up and coming….no website and very few boutiques are carrying the brand. So it is hard to find- I LOVE that about it- not everyone will be wearing what you are wearing. There are three or four more jackets to DIE for at “the spot” so if you are digging the vibe, message/comment on this post and I will get back to you and find a way to send you the peices!

For those that want to search the brand on their own……I found a website called www.urbanminx.com that carries the brand and has a decent selection. Check it out.

Happy Shopping!
