I almost feel like “Where’s Waldo” modeling this red plaid scarf on the blog today, considering half the readers of the blog own it! I hope you all love it as much as I do:) Honestly, it was only 62 degrees yesterday…but there was a bit of a chill in the air and I have been patiently waiting to wear this badboy. Stripes, plaid and my most favorite boots to ever exist…what do you think? I kind of am in love with the look…and although I don’t like to repeat exact outfits…there are always exceptions, no?
Hope you have an awesome Friday…it’s Connor’s FIFTH birthday party Saturday…so I am heading into dinosaur themed chaos! Wish me LUCK and enjoy your beautiful families this weekend!

I worked for the Nicole Miller brand for over five years in Philadelphia as their Director of Sales and Merchandising. It was an amazing job that kept the flame burning for my passion of all things fashion and retail. Without that particular job, the people, and the journey, I would never be a working personal shopper and stylist.
The owner of the Philadelphia stores, Mary Dougherty , taught me a very wise lesson…..Small businesses have an obligation to give back to the community that supports them. I am probably the smallest business around, but finding a place to donate my time and closet overflow from clients, was one of my top priorities. Working with Grace Initiatives gives me such joy. I like to think it is part of the reason for my continued growth and success…beyond that, it just feels good.
Monday, I attended an event hosted by Nicole Miller Philadelphia to celebrate the XIX (Nineteen) Most Fashionable Women in Philadelphia. Chosen, of course, for their impeccable sense of style…but also for their inspirational philanthropic work in the community. The energy in the room was contagious and has me dreaming up different ways to give back.

The event was held at XIX Restaurant at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. It was an intimate event…with tons of media there- Hence the reason I did not get a great shot of the 19 women 🙁 As soon as PR company gets one to me, I will be adding it to the post. For now, you will have to enjoy my not so great photos of the room. Below I have also listed the women who were honored one by one. Some really amazing women…Google them:)

I had two reader comments this week…one asking how to style white jeans for early fall…and then ironically someone else commented on an old outfit photo asking how to style her cowboy boots. I swear, I was already planning this post! Talk about meant to be? So this is a two-for-one right here. I love simple style and a distressed denim button down paired my favorite white skinnies, is just perfection. Making it feel a bit more fall inspired, I ditched sandals and went for my favorite Frye cowboy boots.
Must make mention of my fabulous hair candy. Have you ever heard of Pulleez? I recently became social media buddies with the creator….last week she asked me to shoot some pictures potentially do grace the main page of her website…more to come on that…BUT…seriously, how adorable are the little boot charms? I would hardly say I am a western girl…BUT…I do love little influences here and there with my accessories. Aside from being super cute….these hair ties leave NO mark on your precious locks..which is so great for someone like me, who takes her hair up and down throughout the day.
Hope you find some outfit inspiration and have a LOVELY WEEKEND:)
Here in New Jersey, we are having an extremely mild August. It was downright chilly over the weekend. Gorgeous…but chilly. I wore this out to dinner and drinks the other evening. You know I love mixing my distressed boyfriends with killer heels and was elated to carry my NEW grey clutch! I hopped right on my trend forecast HERE and purchased my first grey accessory for fall……definitely not my last! Hope you find some outfit inspiration:)
I haven’t worn short denim cutoffs in quite some time. Past summers, I have turned to a bermuda length short….as I was self conscious of the increasing number of spider veins that were taking over my legs. Although they are hereditary, it seems the pace had quickened since the birth of my boys….I felt like every day a new unsightly vein had arrived. As many of you know, in early spring I had sclerotherapy to treat them. The result was great….they aren’t GONE, but I would say improved about 70 percent. I wasn’t sure what to expect and am elated with the outcome. It isn’t a perfect fix, as you have to continue to treat veins as they arrive….but I am SO much more confident this summer…skirts and shorts are shorter…so it was worth the $$. I plan to do it again this winter, per recommendation of the plastic surgeon I worked with…as “maintenance”. Happy to answer any questions about my experience, if you are interested, just shoot me an email. NOW, on to style.
Monday Mingle time again! I hope you will stop by and visit Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole of Momtrends to see their stylish posts. Nicole is hosting this week. Can’t wait to stop by your blogs…I FINALLY have a few moments to visit with all of you- as I am taking a break from clients this week:) Happy Monday and hope you find some outfit inspiration!
I don’t know if it is the summer months or our growing social calendar now that the kids are bit older, but I am reaching for clutches constantly. I have a few I adore…..a fun kelly green, a basket woven black and my trusted Louis Vuitton…..but not one bright printed or patterned clutch. I am smitten with the highlighted ones below…still deciding which will be mine:)
I will be back Friday sharing an easy and chic summer look…the shirt/shorts combo is THIRTY DOLLARS TOTAL retail and available to purchase with one of my favorite online shops! It is a post not to miss! Happy Wednesday:)
I am lucky to have remained extremely close to a group of my college friends. We hail from so many different states these days….but we set aside a weekend annually to all get together. It is always a blast…we just know each other so well…we pick right back up where we left off. Food, cocktails, dancing and amazing conversation- there are few other places that I would rather be. This year we took Dewey Beach by storm…it was…well…interesting. I haven’t been to bars with inches of sludge on the floor in quite some time…but it was FUN…and we had a blast….always do when I am with these people. How was your weekend? Any fun adventures?
I attended a charity event Monday evening at Deal Country Club to benefit Jersey Shore Medical Center Cardiovascular Services. My husband played a round of golf and then I met up with him to enjoy a nice dinner. I always enjoy myself at these types of events….community driven people, one on one time with my husband and all for a great cause. Perfect! Some of the men were still in their golfing attire and others changed into sportscoats, so I wanted to be appropriate, professional and yet embrace my personal style. I often pick up new clients and/or connections at these types of events…. I have to be looking stylish….of course:)
These Fibi&Clo Sandals were perfect….dressy enough to pair with my favorite black dress and tuxedo blazer, but also fun and flirty enough for the more relaxed vibe. I was gifted these sandals by the lovely Rexine a few ago and could not WAIT to wear them. I have already done so…with distressed skinny jeans and a black tank…and then as you have seen below. I will be sure to feature them regularly on instagram with outfit ideas, as I know they are going to be a summertime staple!
Have an AWESOME week and check out my ONLINE TRUNK SHOW with Fibi&Clo below. HAPPY SHOPPING!!!
Hope all of you had an amazing weekend. We had a beautiful couple days…the weather was just gorgeous here at the Jersey Shore. I had a photo session with my boys at the Boardwalk Friday…a great poolday Saturday…and then a beautiful day at Eagle Oaks for Fathers Day. Decided to sport this London Times floral dress. I will admit, I don’t wear florals often….I am not super girlie in my personal style….but sometimes you just want to wear a pretty dress. I have blogged numerous times about this brand..like here and here…..great fit, affordable pricetag…whats not to love? London Times always delivers.
Do you wear florals? How would you style this dress? I kept it simple with a cool peep toe and some fun jewelry. Hope your week is off to a great start! Don’t forget to check out my #MondayMingle friends Kristin from BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole from Momtrends…always super stylish:) Kristin is hosting. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week:)
Ah, where to start today…where to start? If you are a personal friend on FB you may have seen me make mention of having the most disappointing of days yesterday. Someone, who I thought was truly a friend…heard something about me..thought the worst of me…. When we finally spoke, I apologized about our misunderstanding from a really humble and honest place (I am a Libra, so if you tell me your side of things, I will always most likely understand). This friend of over 4 years did not take accept that apology…..instead continued on…saying she is too trusting of people like me. People like me? Close to tears, I left the conversation. Walked away. I feel horrible about it. I have lost a relationship and that is always hard. I am taking solace in knowing that although I am totally flawed in many ways, at my core is a really good person who tries to do her best for her family, friends, clients and herself. I have to believe in that…and myself….more than this nonsense drama…right? Right? Well that is my mantra anyway.
On a much lighter note…how freaking fabulous is this RD Style dress? I am obsessed with it…dreaming up different ways to wear it. Bright shoes….with a blazer….without a belt…big colorful statement necklace….you see the limitless possibilities…no? Since I am mentally exhausted and actually about to head out for a Roll in the Rack with a new client…I will leave you with the photos. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great weekend:)
Back again…talking all things floral with my girls Jill of Glamamom and Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls. I have worn these floral leggings countless times since receiving them from Lysséthree weeks ago. Day or night…..they seem to serve up just the vibe I am looking for. So, I am officially adding an addendum to my “must haves” for spring/summer 2014. Floral Leggings! You simply must own a pair. Not sure how to style them? Well lucky for you…I have featured day and evening options below….and my two fabulous friends Jill and Kristin can give you a few ideas. Pop by their blogs. Now that that is settled….What are you waiting for? Happy Shopping!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend:) I have been enjoying my family…and although the weekend was off to a rainy start…yesterday was absolutely breathtaking and it looks like we are getting more of the same today! The kids and I are off to the pool:)
It is #MondayMingle time….The stylish collaboration between myself, Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole of Momtrends. The link is being hosted by Kristin this week. I hope you take a moment to honor the veterans, enjoy the beautiful weather and spend it with your favorite people.
Gladly sharing this beautiful drapey blouse by August Silk . Have you heard of the brand? Available at retailers like Macy’s and Dilliards and best known for the classic cardigan, I have owned a few items here and there. Always great quality and a great price point. I particularly loved how lightweight this blouse is….perfect for the hot summer nights that are fast approaching. They were so kind to gift a blouse to me AND YOU….so ….
A friend and reader asked for suggestions on looser fitting shorts for the coming HOT summer months. She resides in my home state of Virginia, so instead of suggesting harder to find boutique brands (like I usually do) I popped by my favorite affordable online retailers. In doing so, I stumbled upon these badboys from Old Navy. Snatching them up for myself today- with a $15 price tag, I will most likely grab both colors. In true TSF fashion, I can’t just send a link…I have to style them for you too! So here you go Ann….hope they work for you!
#MondayMingle time again….the stylish collaboration between myself, BonBon Rose Girls and Momtrends. I am happily sharing my favorite kind of spring style…Bohemian! I am not sure why…but the warmer weather always brings out the inner bohemian in me. I think it is just the ease of throwing on a flowing dress that has me. Last featured here with boots this dress is getting serious play this Spring/Summer. The fun new addition were my gladiator sandals. As you know it was trial and error finding this particular pair. I must have ordered three before landing on these.
Gladiator Sandal Shopping Tips:
1. If you can go to a store with a large selection like a Nordstroms, that is your best bet. I found trying different vendors, sizes and heights was essential for me in finding the perfect pair. I must have spent an additional 40 dollars on shipments back and forth.
2. Adjustable via buckles or ties is the way to go…this way you can customize (to a degree) how it fits your calf. Remember the Stuart Weitzmans I was ready to splurge on? and then the calf fat they so kindly provided? The pair below has a buckle that allows me to adjust them. I am choosing to wear them on the looser side.
3. I plan to wear these a ton this summer…but truth be told, this is a trendy item. Although I was originally ready to make a serious investment, I would suggest staying within a reasonable price point. There are lots of options at all pricepoints. If you need any suggestions, definitely shoot me an email. Happy to help guide you.
I can’t wait to see what you are wearing. The linky is being hosted by Nicole over at Momtrends this week. Happy Monday!!!
I hope all you mamas had a wonderful Mothers Day. Mine was just as I wished it be….relaxing! As many of you know I had a “boutique tour” in Maryland. Friday night, I had a smaller event with five of my The Box Service clients and then Saturday my dearest friend and FIRST client hosted an all day open house. I brought my favorite boutique finds and set up Stella and Dot. We all shopped til we dropped- First thing Sunday I packed up and traveled home. I am exhausted but it was a wonderful weekend:)
It is #MondayMingle time….with my lovely and stylish friends Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole of Momtrends. I am keeping it classic in stripes. When my style is simple, I always like to add in some interesting elements. In this case, distressed skinnies and pops of orange. How do you keep your classics fresh and modern?
I hope you will join in the fashion fun by linking up below and be sure to pop by and visit Kristin and Nicole🙂
