I almost feel like “Where’s Waldo” modeling this red plaid scarf on the blog today, considering half the readers of the blog own it! I hope you all love it as much as I do:) Honestly, it was only 62 degrees yesterday…but there was a bit of a chill in the air and I have been patiently waiting to wear this badboy. Stripes, plaid and my most favorite boots to ever exist…what do you think? I kind of am in love with the look…and although I don’t like to repeat exact outfits…there are always exceptions, no?
Hope you have an awesome Friday…it’s Connor’s FIFTH birthday party Saturday…so I am heading into dinosaur themed chaos! Wish me LUCK and enjoy your beautiful families this weekend!

A few days ago, I linked to a wide brimmed hat on FB and a few comments immediately popped up….”Love it! Where am I wearing it”? Truthfully, I know what you mean. When and where is a hat like this appropriate? Personally, I reserve them for when I am spending a good part of my day outside. Think soccer games and then to the park with your little ones. I will often will wear mine when I have a million errands to run…popping in and out of stores. Weekend wear at its best!
I say (especially if you aren’t sure where you are going to wear it) to stay on the frugal side of this trend. My hat below was on super sale from Calypso St. Barth two seasons ago. I don’t wear it constantly, but when I do, it adds an undeniable level of cool. I think I paid 40 dollars…SCORE! I also love that it keeps the sun off my face…BONUS! I hope all of you have an amazing weekend:)
This may not officially be a kimono…but it is a favorite shirt of mine and definitely has the look and feel of the kimonos I have been loving so much for fall. I plan to purchase one…after all of my clients have chosen theirs…aren’t I sweet:) Ha!
Not too much to report other than insanity with work. I have one more “Roll in the Rack” scheduled for Friday, and then hoping to spend the weekend catching up on internship inquiries, box service inquiries and EMAILS! Thanks for your patience as this has been my busiest week to date:) HAPPY THURSDAY!!!
This outfit may have been inspired by my new obsession, the Sam Edelman booties featured below. I mean GAH! I actually was shopping for a client when I stumbled upon them….weakness struck and I had to have them for myself! They are just perfection in every way. The heel is mommy friendly, the zippers are on trend and modern, and the color was lacking in my shoe wardrobe.
Lightweight layers are key for me right now. It is still hot as h*ll outside, but my mind is on fall fashion. Layers allow it to feel like fall, peeling away when its hot and adding on when you step into the air conditioning. There was a time, I would have NEVER paired grey with chocolate brown. Grey always went with black accents, not brown. I am so glad to have left that notion behind. I love this grey/brown color combo…..simple, casual, chic….the name of my game.
* I am wearing a new wash c/o Level 99. Its the Liza Skinny. Looks awesome cuffed, but also left long. This will be my staple fall dark jean. If you are interested in purchasing or want to request a pair for your The Box Service, let me know. $149
I would hardly say I am a country girl, I was born in New Jersey, raised right outside of Washington DC and spent most of my twenties in Philadelphia. I did however have a four year stint at Elon College University….which might be where I picked up my adoration for cowboy boots and the over use of the word ya’ll. It just rolls of the tongue, what can I say?
This yellow blazer is probably one of my best purchases from Piperlime super sale. I got it about a year ago…and have found ways to style it winter, spring, summer and now again this fall. Do you have a piece that works this hard in your wardrobe? I think it is the classic style but unique color that keep me grabbing it time and time again. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week!
I purchased these black chinos from Old Navy last week and have been living in loving them. They are SO easy to style with lightweight sweaters or layers. The perfect casual cool vibe I am most comfortable in…especially on days I am home with the boys..running around town. Dare I say they might be my new fall uniform? I think you will be seeing them quite often…packed into the last few weeks that one can stand exposed ankles 🙂 How about you? What is your fall uniform? Hope you find some outfit inspiration….
SO FREAKING excited to share my FIRST style post on the new site….coming at you Friday!!!!!!
I purchased this sequin blazer on sale in the dead of summer knowing it would be a fabulous addition to my fall wardrobe. The first lift of humidity and I wore it with all white here. Since then, I had forgotten about it:) Thankfully a reader (who purchased it) asked me to style it for fall….I happily obliged. When a piece packs this much punch, I tend to keep it simple otherwise…loved the mix of the casual distressed skinnies and casual braided belt mixed in with the showiness of the sequin blazer. I am also thinking paired with leather skinnies later in the season will be cute, no? What do you think? How would you style it?
I have a friends baby shower tomorrow…and can’t wait to wear this dress again, at least that is what I think I am wearing. I am off to enjoy my friends, my boys, my weekend……if you want to stay in touch with my fashionable adventures…you are welcome to follow along on Instagram here! HAPPY WEEKEND:)

We had a pretty busy weekend. I had a ton of errands on Saturday preparing for Prestons christening, which is this coming Sunday and met a client later in the afternoon. Sunday we went to our dear friends christening of their sweet baby girl, Nicolette. The reception took place at the Brownstone…yes….the Brownstone from Real Housewives of New Jersey….despite the TV drama that takes place there…it is actually a beautiful facility and the food is delicious. Anyway….What I wore running around Saturday…Hope you find some outfit inspiration…Bringing you a fun collaboration and giveaway this Wednesday so don’t be stranger:)

As I mentioned, I am back to “box services”and clients. Since I work for myself, with no office to report to, my attire can be as casual or dressy as my mood. Lately I have had a hard time, due to my 4 week post preggo body:( Dressing can be challenging…I am too thin through the middle for my maternity wear (did you see the size of my bump, yikes) and yet not svelte enough for my pre- pregnancy wear. I took the plunge and bought a new pair of jeans in a size I need not mention on this blog…..Something to get me through the next month or two, until I can shed the extra poundage. I went with “red” because it just seems to go with EVERYTHING. I throw a pair of red jeans into every client box….they are truly as easy to wear as actual denim shades. Navy, Chambray, Ivory, White, Pinstripes, Leopard…Seriously what doesn’t go with red jeans these days? Hope you find some outfit inspiration and have a great weekend!

If you follow along with my blog, you know I love discovering new designers and shopping boutique brands that are not seen everywhere. However, my exception is always Old Navy. Obviously a large retail chain for the masses….for some reason….I always have great luck with seasonal basics. Connor needed a few new pairs of shoes (since he goes through shoes every few weeks) I like to buy inexpensive pairs….We both left with bags full of goodies. I purchased a few great button ups likethis chambray shirt as well as the adorable crochet sweater I have featured below. My only gripe is the shoulders are a tad big..BUT it was too cute to pass up…and I know I will wear it a ton this fall. I am still on a mission for the perfect white Tshirt- so please share if you have found a fabulous one. So I ask, where do you shop for your hang around basics?

Hi all. Hubby and I are heading out…dropping Connor with my parents and going to shop til we drop for the lil man. Hitting ToysRus, Baby Gap, Janie and Jack and all the usual suspects. Also going to grab an early dinner. I wanted to be comfortable (and chic) so I immediately grabbed my Tempo Paris Ivory Sweatercoat. I heart this sweater and literally feel like I am wrapped up in a cloud when I wear it. The rest of the pieces are a closet dive. Hope you find some inspiration!

I went closet diving for this post. The outfit is an even split of old and new. My favorite item is the skirt…I always feel like I should throw my hair in pigtails and skip down the sidewalk when I wear it. Obviously I am not going to do that…but I do love how this skirt makes me feel. It should be all about feeling great in what you wear. I think the trick to wearing a youthful piece of clothing is making sure the other items you are wearing with it are classic. Really liked how this outfit came together and thought I would share.
Old pieces from my closet:
Skirt Nicole Miller, Sweater Nicole Miller, Hat H&M
New pieces I purchased this season:
White Shirt Limited, Boots Jeffrey Campbell, Belt Target
