Brand Highlight: Naturalizer

When Naturalizer first reached out to partner up….I wasn’t sure I was going to say yes.  When I started in retail years ago and was going to be on my feet for hours upon hours an associate recommended trying their shoes.  She shared their unmatched comfort for standing all day.   I vividly remember going to the store and not being able to envision myself in one single pair.  That was over 13 years ago…knowing things can change….I quickly popped by their site…and was seriously shocked at the transformation the brand has undergone.  It was so hard to choose a pair…I loved these, these, and these but push came to shove, I ended up with these featured below!  I LOVE the army green color and they are the perfect mom on the go wedge.  Oh and if you are looking for the perfect workday pump…look no further because here it is! Pop by the site and check out all they have to offer.  Most styles are on sale right now too!  Win win:)  Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week!

This old red house…..My Nana and Pop (my mothers parents) owned it at one time!  Isn’t it cool?  It was the perfect backdrop for todays photo session… takes up the entire corner of the street.  My mom always says she wishes they had kept it….it was is a cool house.  I must say, this is an example of one of the greatest things about moving to the Jersey Shore….my mother grew up in Point Pleasant and it has been amazing reconnecting with the town that she lived in.  Growing up we always visited, but living here has been a totally different experience…one I am still getting used to…but the connection to the town is undeniably neat.  I used to say I loved the anonymity of a big city but there might just be something to this small town living:)

Styling Bright Flats: Tieks

I featured this set on Pinterest and decided to share how I translated it to my own wardrobe.  A relatively low key weekend…we visited with friends and enjoyed the amazing weather…I did manage to get in a girls night out…and shared my impromptu outfit over on Instagram.  The trick in styling these patent electric blue Tieks (or any bright flat) is keeping the rest of the outfit easy and uncomplicated.  By total coincidence I had an infiniti scarf that was a literal perfect match…it was the pop of color I needed against my black and white. Skinny jeans, loose fitting tee and tailored blazer made for the perfect easy breezy mom on the go look.  I hope you find some outfit inspiration and MAKE IT A GREAT WEEK!

Guilty Soles

Guilty Soles offered me a months membership to see what their brand is all about.  I was immediately excited when I started browsing because they carry cute wedge sneaker options (a trend I have been hesitating on, but dying to try).  The site is extremely trend driven, so don’t think you will be finding a classic pair of pumps….but they do have cool funky items like these heels,  these booties, and even cute trendy bags like this studded clutch.  I picked this pair of sneakers featured below and am really happy with them.  Since I have the month membership and any purchases will only be $20, I think I might order these for Spring too!

I would be neglecting the obvious if I didn’t point out that I typically wear more expensive shoes.  My husband gifts me beautiful pairs of designer shoes a few times a year….but not all my shoes are pricey.  Much like I dress from Nicole Miller to Old Navy, I follow suit with my shoe collection owning Christian Louboutin and Vera Wang for Kohls.  I splurge on classics and go inexpensive on trendy footwear that will only last a season.  I could see myself utilizing their site for fun trendy shoes that I would typically purchase from JC Penney, Target or Kohls. The quality and fit of my kicks is exactly that of these budget friendly stores and all their designer collaborations.

The way it works…purchase a months membership ($29.99) and any shoe/bag you order that month is $20….or a years membership ($49.99) and any shoe/bag you order all year is $20. The shoes are completely exchangeable 365 days a year and satisfaction guaranteed…if you don’t like them, you don’t have to keep them.

Guilty Soles has so kindly offered to gift one of you a free months membership to their site.  So, anything you purchased would be $20. I like to make things as simple as possible, so please just leave a comment below with your contact email.  I will choose a winner at random in one week 2/11/13.  Open Internationally.
