I went from never wearing shorts…to wearing leather shorts! I have come a long way baby…hahaha!
I saw these last week at one of the boutiques I work with and thought they would be adorable with tights and boots for fall nights out with friends. Since I am one of those people who can’t wait to wear new things, I had to test them out. This comfortable graphic tee seemed to pair up nicely. I am not usually one to wear quotes..BUT…this one is just too fitting for me. I truly do…love what I do…and never feel like I am working…well, maybe when I have to be my own accountant- but in regards to the shopping/styling part…it is my passion:) Keeping the accessories and everything else very low key as you know my style is uncomplicated and easy. Hope you find some outfit inspiration, link to purchase this adorable tee from a new online discovery…HERE. Happy Shopping!!!!
I hope all of you had a great weekend. We celebrated my neice’s 7th birthday. The weather was surprisingly chilly here at the Jersey Shore. I actually wore a jacket over this look come sundown. Although, I am SO ready for fall…maybe not until September 1st. Give us another week or so weather gods, ok? Thanks!
This outfit is super simple but I adore my accessories:) I received these sweet Linge ballet flats in the mail last week and couldn’t wait for the first opportunity to wear them. I have declared grey my “it” color for fall, and have been window shopping ever since. The sunglasses….sporting them NON stop…the color is a greyish purple and although its an odd, it seems to be working with everything. SmartBuyGlasses have an amazing selection and I am excited to cruise the site for my next stylish pair. Remember when I posted my Breakfast at Tiffany’s event to Instagram here…well, I purchased this super delicate arrow necklace/bracelet set and am smitten. Typically not a silver girl, I thought this set would layer beautifully with many of my existing pieces and of course, grey. As I always say…simple style is my favorite…. then I let the accessories do the talking:)
Welcome to #MondayMingle, the stylish collaboration between myself, BonBon Rose Girls and Momtrends. I am hosting this week so please join in the link below. Make it a GREAT WEEK:)
I had two reader comments this week…one asking how to style white jeans for early fall…and then ironically someone else commented on an old outfit photo asking how to style her cowboy boots. I swear, I was already planning this post! Talk about meant to be? So this is a two-for-one right here. I love simple style and a distressed denim button down paired my favorite white skinnies, is just perfection. Making it feel a bit more fall inspired, I ditched sandals and went for my favorite Frye cowboy boots.
Must make mention of my fabulous hair candy. Have you ever heard of Pulleez? I recently became social media buddies with the creator….last week she asked me to shoot some pictures potentially do grace the main page of her website…more to come on that…BUT…seriously, how adorable are the little boot charms? I would hardly say I am a western girl…BUT…I do love little influences here and there with my accessories. Aside from being super cute….these hair ties leave NO mark on your precious locks..which is so great for someone like me, who takes her hair up and down throughout the day.
Hope you find some outfit inspiration and have a LOVELY WEEKEND:)
For my local Jersey Shore friends and readers….you simply can’t let these last few weeks of summer slip away from you! There are amazing events happening DAILY through Labor Day weekend and beyond at Jenkinsons Boardwalk! We have had such amazing trips up to the rides this summer…sometimes with just our family of four and other times with friends and their children. The memories have been made- that is all that really matters, no?
Tomorrow…you can view “MOVIES ON THE BEACH”! Planes is being featured as soon as dusk hits this week:)
Personally, I can’t wait to hit the Boardwalk for the “HOT HALLOWEEN” event. Next Wednesday, 8/27, the kiddies can come dressed in their favorite costumes and stroll the boardwalk! What a great excuse to wear those halloween getups more than once. Connor will most likely go as a Pirate…remember that HERE….kind of perfect for the boardwalk.
Regardless of what you choose to do….I hope you will make the most of these last few carefree weeks before school starts and the fall grind begins!
There is nothing better than an easy fitting shift dress. Truly the perfect transition to fall piece. Wear it now, as I have shown below with a colorful necklace and your favorite sandals…then September with a denim jacket and maybe some cool kicks…then again dead of winter with black tights and tall black boots! Seriously, when can a 25 dollar dress do all that for you? Available over on SusieRaine – but I know it will sell out quickly so hurry on over:) Happy Shopping!
Here in New Jersey, we are having an extremely mild August. It was downright chilly over the weekend. Gorgeous…but chilly. I wore this out to dinner and drinks the other evening. You know I love mixing my distressed boyfriends with killer heels and was elated to carry my NEW grey clutch! I hopped right on my trend forecast HERE and purchased my first grey accessory for fall……definitely not my last! Hope you find some outfit inspiration:)
Myself, and beautiful friend Jill of Glamamom were asked to be part of the Earl Jeans relaunch yesterday in NYC. It was probably one of the coolest days I have had in a while:) We modeled various looks soon to hit stores (Macy’s etc) all around Manhattan with amazing photographer, Udo Spreitzenbarth (he has worked with Tyra Banks) um, what? One of the things I did to prep….whiten my teeth. Gotta look your best to feel your best! More to come on this collaboration and where to buy the killer (affordable) clothes:)
In my early twenties, while cheering for the NFL, I had my teeth professionally whitened. As you would imagine, the result was gleaming white face full of teeth. In years since, I have turned to over the counter whiteners…various brands and methods. Haven’t we all? Although, they haven’t provided the same result as the professional cleaning, it seemed to brighten my smile. So, when I was initially asked to review Smile Brilliant, I declined. The representative persisted, sharing some further details. He explained this particular whitening program was great for teeth that have shifted….or weren’t perfectly aligned. White trips just lay against the front of your teeth. This program creates impressions for you to use, that fit the EXACT mold of your teeth. My bottom teeth have really shifted as I have gotten older, so I was sold. Keeping it real….this is more complicated than your regular over the counter whitener. Good news is the directions are very specific, and they even give you “redo” mold, just in case. You can learn all about the process HERE. I was VERY pleased with the result. My teeth are the whitest they have been in a long time and although it was a little uncomfortable at first, after a while I didn’t even know I had the molds in. I folded laundry, watched some TV…and then…”Voila”…gleaming (but natural) white teeth! WIN YOUR OWN PEARLY WHITES BELOW!!!!
Open a few magazines or pop by a few online fashion sites and you will see GREY everywhere. Without a doubt, it is one of the “it” colors for Fall 2014 and personally, I couldn’t be happier. It is so neutral and easy to work into your existing wardrobe. I also love that I don’t have much in the way of grey, which allows me to shop for NEW accessories to my hearts content. I have decided to round up some of my favorites from around the web. Happy Shopping:)
I haven’t worn short denim cutoffs in quite some time. Past summers, I have turned to a bermuda length short….as I was self conscious of the increasing number of spider veins that were taking over my legs. Although they are hereditary, it seems the pace had quickened since the birth of my boys….I felt like every day a new unsightly vein had arrived. As many of you know, in early spring I had sclerotherapy to treat them. The result was great….they aren’t GONE, but I would say improved about 70 percent. I wasn’t sure what to expect and am elated with the outcome. It isn’t a perfect fix, as you have to continue to treat veins as they arrive….but I am SO much more confident this summer…skirts and shorts are shorter…so it was worth the $$. I plan to do it again this winter, per recommendation of the plastic surgeon I worked with…as “maintenance”. Happy to answer any questions about my experience, if you are interested, just shoot me an email. NOW, on to style.
Monday Mingle time again! I hope you will stop by and visit Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole of Momtrends to see their stylish posts. Nicole is hosting this week. Can’t wait to stop by your blogs…I FINALLY have a few moments to visit with all of you- as I am taking a break from clients this week:) Happy Monday and hope you find some outfit inspiration!
I realize this is a slight variation of my last outfit post from Monday:) What can I say….I just have black and denim on the brain. Truth is, it is an easy effortless combination and leaves an awesome blank slate for fun colorful accessories. I plan to wear this to a babyshower on Saturday…modeling it a day early because I have no one around that morning to take photos! Think I am going to wear it exactly like this…although maybe I will skip the ponytail, and I definitely need a pedicure:) Yikes.
Denim shirt is compliments of SusieRaine and available for purchase here. LOVE the slight western influence and distressed vibe. Fit is fabulous- I am wearing a medium. Killer price over on the site today- $17! Get em while they last….I know it will sell out! Happy Shopping and hope you have an amazing weekend:)
August is kind of a preparation month for me. Although I am quite obviously NOT heading back to school….I prepare as though I am heading somewhere. I spend a lot of time researching trends for fall and planning what I need/want for my own wardrobe as well as what will be important for my clients. This preparation is not limited to just clothing and accessories….. it encompasses all that has me looking and feeling confident.
So…this month, you will see a few posts titled, “All About ME August”. I will be sharing things that I am doing for myself to have fabulous hair, skin, nails and makeup for Fall 2014! This particular post is highlighting a few of my favorite products right now that will definitely be taking me confidently into fall.
*Remember, if I don’t love it, I don’t share it- I am not getting any commission but I was gifted product to try:)
LIPTOXYL by TicaBeauty
Have you used a “lip plumper” before? I have. I honestly can’t remember the brand I used to use, but I do know it was discontinued and I could no longer get it. Majorly disappointed. Although I don’t wear a plumper daily….for evenings out with friends, date night or special events I like to “amp” it up. What better way than with a plumper! I loved the color options (owner sent me three) and by mixing the two below colors (intrigue and starlet) I ended up with this soft orange/pink shade that I adore:)Your lips will feel fuller and sexy and it is not sticky or glumpy..its just…well perfect!
Recently, a friend invited me to an online mascara party- Between jewelry, sandals, skincare and now makeup- who isn’t having an online party? Personally I LOVE to shop this way…convenience and trusted referrals from friends who are selling the product. That said, I was skeptical but intrigued. I love my voluminous mascara…and have never been swayed by another brand. What is so awesome about this product…you use it WITH your existing mascara.
Goes like this:
1. Curl lashes and apply thin coat of your preferred mascara.
2. Apply the gel (which is black) to your lashes once the above has dried.
3. Apply the “fibers”
4. Quickly reapply the gel to seal in the fibers.
The ONLY negative – and I don’t really want to go as far as to say negative- is that it can get a little clumpy as you apply. I just used my trusted old mascara wand (that I washed clean and use for my eyebrows). I used that to brush through the lashes while they are still wet and it worked perfectly. I had someone ask me yesterday if I was wearing false eyelashes. SWEET! I won’t use this everyday…BUT for nights out, special events or when I just need a little something extra….its perfection. The set is 29 dollars and lasts for 3 months:) STEAL for enviable lashes!
So, remember when I asked all of you on Facebook about a natural body lotion you loved? I got so many amazing recommendations, I decided to go to Target (many of the brands you mentioned were there) and be one of those annoying and crazy people who unscrews the cap and smells the product.
Ironically, I thought Burts Bees had NO scent…but when I opened the bottle, it was deliciously fragrant, which was a prerequisite. I love a great smelling lotion. So all natural, no animal testing and delicious scent..this was a no brainer. I was also happy to see it wasn’t ridiculously expensive. Pricier than a “jergens” I suppose…but not over the top. Very happy with the product and highly recommend you making the switch. Available for between 7 and 9 dollars at various retailers. Scent I am reviewing is Aloe and Buttermilk.
This is the third post in the past two weeks that I have wanted to title, Simple Style. I call it like I see it, and lately my style has been just that, simple. Truthfully I never wear anything overly complicated. I like easy, fuss free clothing and accessories. How about you? After a little further thought, I titled this Denim and Details because the jacket is the stand out. I adore it and am certain there has never been a softer denim…compliments of….you guessed it…Level 99! Keeping it interesting with the details like my Stella & Dot necklace and Fibi&Clo sandals. Hope you find some outfit inspiration- I would imagine this look is REALLY easy to recreate!
#MondayMingle time with my lovely friends Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole from Momtrends. Be sure to pop by and see what style they are serving up this week. Linkup is below…as well as NEW giveaway! Thank you for stopping by and joining in the fashion fun:)
I am, obviously a huge fan of simple easy to wear style…especially in the hot summer months like August. Comfort is king with this particular look featured below….yet I didn’t have to sacrifice style…and I definitely am budget friendly! This shirt and short combo can be yours for just $30! What I love most, is I can easily pair this top with white jeans, denim skinnies or even printed pants for fall. The shorts would be adorable with a solid colored tank/tee and a blazer come the cooler weather. If I am feeling a little edgy, the shorts might even be cute with tights and boots! Ah, the possibilities.
A big sincere THANK YOU to the ladies of online shop SusieRaine, for gifting me this adorable look and allowing me to share this amazing DEAL with my readers. I know sizing is limited, so hurry along now ladies:) HAPPY SHOPPING!
*I am wearing a SMALL top and MEDIUM shorts. The shirt runs full, and although I usually like a Medium shirt, Small fits perfectly. On the bottom I am a 4/6- usually closer to 6 and the medium also fits me perfectly.
I don’t know if it is the summer months or our growing social calendar now that the kids are bit older, but I am reaching for clutches constantly. I have a few I adore…..a fun kelly green, a basket woven black and my trusted Louis Vuitton…..but not one bright printed or patterned clutch. I am smitten with the highlighted ones below…still deciding which will be mine:)
I will be back Friday sharing an easy and chic summer look…the shirt/shorts combo is THIRTY DOLLARS TOTAL retail and available to purchase with one of my favorite online shops! It is a post not to miss! Happy Wednesday:)
Mixing prints. I will be honest, I don’t do it often…when I do….I keep things pretty simple. I mostly pair stripes with camo like here OR leopard as a neutral like here. I am incredibly inspired when I see bold pairings on other style blogs but when I try to mix it into my personal style…it never ends up “working”. I prefer to keep it subtle…like below. The top is solid black but the intricate fabric work gives it a patterned feel….that paired with my favorite (and most comfortable) Ella Moss pants seemed to work well. What do you think? Do you mix prints?
Its #MondayMingle time with my favs Kristin of BonBon Rose Girls and Nicole of MomTrends. Pop by to see what they are up to…the linkup is being hosted by Kristin this week. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week!
