WhenNaturalizer first reached out to partner up….I wasn’t sure I was going to say yes. When I started in retail years ago and was going to be on my feet for hours upon hours an associate recommended trying their shoes. She shared their unmatched comfort for standing all day. I vividly remember going to the store and not being able to envision myself in one single pair. That was over 13 years ago…knowing things can change….I quickly popped by their site…and was seriously shockedat the transformation the brand has undergone. It was so hard to choose a pair…I loved these, these, and these but push came to shove, I ended up with thesefeatured below! I LOVE the army green color and they are the perfect mom on the go wedge. Oh and if you are looking for the perfect workday pump…look no further because here it is! Pop by thesite and check out all they have to offer. Most styles are on sale right now too! Win win:) Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week!
This old red house…..My Nana and Pop (my mothers parents) owned it at one time! Isn’t it cool? It was the perfect backdrop for todays photo session…..it takes up the entire corner of the street. My mom always says she wishes they had kept it….it was is a cool house. I must say, this is an example of one of the greatest things about moving to the Jersey Shore….my mother grew up in Point Pleasant and it has been amazing reconnecting with the town that she lived in. Growing up we always visited, but living here has been a totally different experience…one I am still getting used to…but the connection to the town is undeniably neat. I used to say I loved the anonymity of a big city but there might just be something to this small town living:)
I have been loving and wearing camo long before it was everywhere...infact this sweateris so old, it might even be considered vintage! I think my familiarity with the print made it so easy for me to embrace when it exploded on the scene and I have since acquired a camo jacket, two pair s of skinnies, a shirt and most recently this beautiful scarf below. Camo is no doubt a must have for anyone on trend. It can be hard to wear…so adding a splash with a scarf or accessory is a great way to embrace the trend without stepping outside of your comfort zone or budget!
Luxe Auctions is run by a fellow Jersey gal…so when she reached out to partner up, I was more than happy to oblige! Cherry on top? The items are cool, unique and affordable…yes yes yes! How does it work you ask? It is a really innovative idea…and you all know how much I love those! Basically their Facebook Page works as an “auction” on Wednesday and Sunday evenings offering beautiful apparel and accessories at amazing prices. Learn more here! The blog is also pretty badass and features roundups of fashionable ladies from around the blogging world (little old me included)! Luxe has SO kindly offered to gift a camo scarf to one of YOU! Enter to win below and have a great weekend:))
I would hardly say I am a country girl, I was born in New Jersey, raised right outside of Washington DC and spent most of my twenties in Philadelphia. I did however have a four year stint at Elon College University….which might be where I picked up my adoration for cowboy boots and the over use of the word ya’ll. It just rolls of the tongue, what can I say?
This yellow blazer is probably one of my best purchases from Piperlime super sale. I got it about a year ago…and have found ways to style it winter, spring, summer and now again this fall. Do you have a piece that works this hard in your wardrobe? I think it is the classic style but unique color that keep me grabbing it time and time again. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week!
I purchased these black chinos from Old Navy last week and have been living in loving them. They are SO easy to style with lightweight sweaters or layers. The perfect casual cool vibe I am most comfortable in…especially on days I am home with the boys..running around town. Dare I say they might be my new fall uniform? I think you will be seeing them quite often…packed into the last few weeks that one can stand exposed ankles 🙂 How about you? What is your fall uniform? Hope you find some outfit inspiration….
SO FREAKING excited to share my FIRST style post on the new site….coming at you Friday!!!!!!
Connor carved his first pumpkin this year…to say he was excited is an understatement! Preston could have cared less…he is too busy walking…everywhere…Frankenstein style:) I had honestly forgotten how endearing it is…watching them cautiously step…so proud…and looking at the world with this whole new perspective….I kind of want to freeze this moment in time. Sigh.
This is the most real photo session I’ve recorded….I think maybe because the kids were so comfortable in their Boden attire. I simply threw down a big blanket, told the kids to play and jumped in at the end. Done! Not perfect…but we definitely captured some fall memories…Encourage you to do the same. Don’t plan, just hop on your lawn and take some photos!
Thank you to Boden USA for sponsoring this little shoot and providing us with essential fall goodies. I have been a fan of the brand for Connor for quite some time but this is my first experience with their baby line and womens line. Just as pleased…and plan to continue to shop both! Pointing at everything with wonder…I really adore this age:)
Poor kid is always getting a nice strong squeeze hug:)
My model man…always striking a killer pose…I need to take notes!
Talking pumpkin carving plans…
I shared on Instagram about a week ago..Prestons first REAL steps completely on his own…and now he walks constantly…our little Frankenstein!
I asked him to say “I love you mommy” thinking maybe it would make him smile…he tried made a heart with his hands…which made ME smile:) He is just the sweetest boy!
You may remember this trend forecast a few weeks ago…..I thought I would follow up with how I am styling my printed leggings around town. Yesterday I had two The Box Service clients to shop for and a dreaded grocery store visit was in order…..this is what I wore. As you know, I am a huge fan of meshing comfort and style and leggings with a tunic are a perfect example. I plan to wear this a little further into the season with black tall boots but for now…ballet flats did the trick.
Printed leggings can be a tough trend to try so my suggestions if you are going for it:
1. Keep the rest of the look really simple. Think solid colors and avoid tons of layers.
2. Pair them with a tunic length sweater or shirt. I cannot emphasize enough, especially as a thirty-something, to cover your crotch and tush- no matter your size or shape it is NOT a good look. Promise:)
So, are you trying the printed legging trend? If so what are you pairing them with? I hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Thursday!

I created this board last Saturday night…partly because I promised a client I would share ways to wear white past labor day…and partly because I wanted to inspire myself to find creative ways to continue in my favorite white skinny jeans.
Turns out, I was most definitely inspired! I rocked my white skinnies yesterday for a few errands and running around with the kids. By pairing them with my favorite fall trends like cowboy boots, layers, and everything anything army green, I was both comfortable and chic! Have I convinced you to wear white after labor day? I hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week:)

Since having my boys, it has become harder and harder to get away and this past Spring, attending a friends wedding in Florida, was honestly the first time I had been on a plane in close to five years……and I was totally freaked out. My pregnancies and little men have left me with some strange anxieties…add it to the list of ailments I didn’t used to have….infact, I once traveled from Kirkuk to Baghdad (yes, I mean Iraq) by black hawk helicopter when I performed with the USO….now afraid to fly a few states away….the complete and utter irony is NOT lost on me.
Dressing for travel can be tough. When I used to travel often, I always followed a few simple rules.
1. Layers– A tank, button down, cardigan and scarf are stylish ways to keep yourself warm and then you can peel away layers based on temperatures in the airport, on the plane and at your final destination.
2. Comfortable shoe– Luckily sneakers have come a long way and are considered chic and on trend. I recently grabbed up a pair of supergas, and they would do the trick just fine. Any low heeled shoe that you have worn before (never wear a new pair for travel) works great!
3. A rolling suitcase– I have made this mistake too many times and my shoulders and lower back are still suffering the consequences. A medium sized handbag for all your essentials and then pack the rest in your rolling bag….save your back!

I featured this set on Pinterest and decided to share how I translated it to my own wardrobe. A relatively low key weekend…we visited with friends and enjoyed the amazing weather…I did manage to get in a girls night out…and shared my impromptu outfit over on Instagram. The trick in styling these patent electric blue Tieks (or any bright flat) is keeping the rest of the outfit easy and uncomplicated. By total coincidence I had an infiniti scarf that was a literal perfect match…it was the pop of color I needed against my black and white. Skinny jeans, loose fitting tee and tailored blazer made for the perfect easy breezy mom on the go look. I hope you find some outfit inspiration and MAKE IT A GREAT WEEK!

I have a crazy week ahead….two box clients to pull for this afternoon…NYC for a showroom appointment and accessories buy on Tuesday….and NYC again on Wednesday for the Kids Rock fashion show. Oh, and my little Connor man starts pre-school this week….I am tired just typing it. Since we will be go-go-going all week I thought it was important to disconnect and focus on family time over the weekend. I rarely posted on Instagram and didn’t check Facebook much….hope you understand:) I also didn’t get out of my mommy uniform Saturday or Sunday….so although it is not the most creative styling you have ever seen here on the blog..it is what I was wearing. Hope you find some casual girl on the go outfit inspiration. Make it a great week:)
I have a fashion filled week ahead so definitely follow along on Instagram!!! Oh and my little model Connor is back on the scene sporting some adorable toddler style too!

As I hit my boutiques this week…I came to one realization….love them or hate them….printed leggings are definitely on the scene this fall. I personally love them. Especially for those days when you just want to be comfortable. They are looking more stylish than ever this season…with fun prints and colors. Picturing styling them with oversized knits, cozy sweaters and some serious BOOTS!
I posted these camo ones to my Facebook Page yesterday and a bunch of you commented and emailed that you are ordering them. Yay! Nothing makes me happier:) Surprisingly, half that bunch were pregnant readers…so in honor of BOTH below features ways to wear them pregnant or not! Of course, you can adopt either style regardless of if you are expecting.
Tribal print from Asos available here and an even less expensive version available here.
Black and White is continuing into fall BIG TIME! So how better to embrace the trend…than these fun tribal printed leggings? I just purchased a tribal pair for myself….couldn’t find the exact ones online…but I will be sporting them on the blog very soon- they are brown and oranges…my colors and perfect for fall. Here are some ways to style the black and white leggings…Safe to say some pregnant readers could also adopt these styles- just purchase basic black and grey tunics from maternity wear lines. Hope you find some outfit inspiration:)
If you follow on my Instagram you saw little snippets of Prestons First Birthday on Saturday🙂 With primary colors as the theme, we spent most of the morning hanging banners, blowing up balloons, building block towers and preparing for thirty guests. The piece de resistance, and I am not talking about food….was THE BOUNCE HOUSE! With over ten kids coming ranging in ages….it was the only thing I could think of to keep them all happy. It worked…and the adults enjoyed it too! I wouldn’t say the photos are my best work, but I really tried to disconnect from photography and social media and worry more about making memories than documenting them. I think I succeeded and will always remember Preston’s First Birthday!
Staying true to who we are around here….enough about the party….on to the fashion. This gorgeous shirtdress was a gift from Nieves Lavi, a New York label known for amazing prints, and it was so darn perfect for the day. It was lightweight, comfortable and the bright red color fit in perfectly with the decor. You can find a bunch of Nieves Lavi dresses on sale here. I really love this one …tall tan boots and a jean jacket …anyone? I paired mine with my favorite leopard Sole Society as well as a fun cork belt. I kept jewelry to a minimum as I knew I would be holding the baby and running around….just my initials necklace and daily rings, watch and earrings.
I can only think of a handful of times you have seen me sporting wide leg pants. I find them slightly challenging in regards to “fit”and on my body type and they require a heel. Skinny jeans and pants are so easy and look great with flats and heels, I mostly gravitate towards that style….but a girls got to mix it up every now and then:) When Level 99 gifted me these wide leg linen pants I was super excited to try them out. I love the fluid feel and they are so lightweight and perfect for summer. Only downside is linen loves to wrinkle. I suppose one fabric can’t have it all. I am elated that I liked wearing this silhouette because there are a decent amount of wide leg options for fall…maybe I will embrace the trend in 2013:) How about you….do you wear wide leg pants/denim? Are you planning to add a pair to your wardrobe for fall? Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping!

The weather was ALL over the map this weekend at the Jersey Shore. It started rainy and cold on Saturday, cleared up to sunny and windy on Sunday….then the most beautiful day you could possibly dream up arrived on Monday…how fitting to honor those who serve and protect our freedom each and every day. We entertained family, went to a bbq, out for drinks with a few friends and then Sunday we were poolside for most of the day. It was a nice and relaxing weekend…just what the doctor ordered:) Crazy to think last Memorial Day I looked like this, obviously I didn’t reinvent the wheel too much in my blue and white stripes with a navy vest…hey, when it works..it works! My newest mommy fashion obsession? Bermuda shorts! What has taken me so long to jump on this bandwagon? I find them super flattering, comfortable and way more appropriate for chasing after my kiddies (short shorts will no longer do for me). Hope you find some outfit inspiration and don’t forget to enter the giveaway below🙂

We showered my little sister over the weekend in preparation for her sweet baby girl, Skylar Rose, who is due in July. Living in a world of blue, it was really fun to decorate with all things girly and pink! I helped my sister pick the prettiest pink maxi dress and then gifted her the beautiful necklace to off set the color. She looked stunning and the shower was lovely. I gave a sneak peek of the day on Instagram but wanted to share in more detail here on the blog. Pregnant or not, I hope you find some outfit inspiration and hope all the mommies reading had a relaxing Mothers Day:)

Not the best placement as the wires out of my head make me look like Medusa, but I wanted to share a picture of both of my sisters.
