To say this relaunch has been a labor of love would be an understatement. Originally set to launch on September 1st….here we are November 1st…and it is still not totally there….but it is SO close! I decided to go live today because we are 95 percent there….and everyone has worked so tirelessly to make this launch date, specifically my incredible web designer Andrea of RedJetCreative. You may notice that you can’t view my old blog posts….they are taking the slow road and won’t be up and viewable until early next week. My apologies….Hopefully the americana post below inspires you for the weekend and we should be back in business by Tuesday:) Thank you for understanding.
In an effort to get a little bit more professional around here, TSF is now partnering a few posts a month with an incredible Jersey Shore photographer Amy of AdalieScottPhotography. Named after her children Adalie and Scottie, this mom of two is everything I love about partnering with small women owned businesses. Her passion for getting an incredible shot and creative ideas for shooting my outfits has me both excited and invigorated. The photos truly speak for themselves…right? Those who have grown to love the street in front of my house or my backyard…fret not! I will still be shooting posts on a whim to keep the “realness” that is TSF. I think the mixture of both will breath some life into my blog moving forward and I hope you agree.
This is where I get a tad bit sappy, thanking all of you for reading and sharing on my fashion journey. What started as a fun past time and fashion connection with a few clients and friends has turned into a thriving business…one I never knew I even wanted! I love what I do and am so thankful for the opportunity to work with incredible women and businesses on the daily. The sky is the limit and your support has me reaching for the fashion aligned stars! THANK YOU!
Scrappy little video reviewing all my favorite new lotions and potions coming live to you from my bathroom on Monday! Happy WEEKEND!
I purchased these black chinos from Old Navy last week and have been living in loving them. They are SO easy to style with lightweight sweaters or layers. The perfect casual cool vibe I am most comfortable in…especially on days I am home with the boys..running around town. Dare I say they might be my new fall uniform? I think you will be seeing them quite often…packed into the last few weeks that one can stand exposed ankles 🙂 How about you? What is your fall uniform? Hope you find some outfit inspiration….
SO FREAKING excited to share my FIRST style post on the new site….coming at you Friday!!!!!!
A baseball cap made of (faux) leather is a complete oxymoron…maybe that is why I adore it so much? Honestly, I can’t think of a time I have ever worn a true baseball cap- just not part of my personal style…but throw in some leather and I am apparently all over it. I saw the cap below and simply had to have it. I thought I would wear it exclusively casual, but enter some oily roots and dinner plans and it dressed right up! I loved the mixture of casual and dressier elements in this look…cap and pajama pants definitely scream comfort while the leather top, fur cardigan and red pumps ooze luxury – kind of unexpected, no? I hope I am inspiring you to mix it up this week and play around with your existing wardrobe….you just might fall in love with the result! Happy Monday!
I purchased this sequin blazer on sale in the dead of summer knowing it would be a fabulous addition to my fall wardrobe. The first lift of humidity and I wore it with all white here. Since then, I had forgotten about it:) Thankfully a reader (who purchased it) asked me to style it for fall….I happily obliged. When a piece packs this much punch, I tend to keep it simple otherwise…loved the mix of the casual distressed skinnies and casual braided belt mixed in with the showiness of the sequin blazer. I am also thinking paired with leather skinnies later in the season will be cute, no? What do you think? How would you style it?
I have a friends baby shower tomorrow…and can’t wait to wear this dress again, at least that is what I think I am wearing. I am off to enjoy my friends, my boys, my weekend……if you want to stay in touch with my fashionable adventures…you are welcome to follow along on Instagram here! HAPPY WEEKEND:)

If you follow along with my Instagram, you saw that I hosted a fashion seminar at Jon Lori Salon on Monday. I shared top trends for fall 2013 and also talked about sprucing up your wardrobe with accessories, since most days the salon staff has to wear all black. In the hair industry, much like in fashion, you are your business card. If you look good and project confidence, people will want to work with you. Simple as that.
I decided to sport some fav trends myself including leather leggings, leopard booties and my distressed denim vest. Thank you to the RD Style team for this amazing lime green sweater (and some other goodies I will be sharing soon). I received numerous compliments on the dynamic color…and it is perfect for this time of year with leather or dark denim.
The the standout for me was NO DOUBT this amazing STATEMENT necklace made by the lovely Larissa of Zolie Designs. I seriously could not love her necklaces more…some blog love….here, here, here, here and here….told ya I adored! Anyway…we decided to partner up this fall and create a ONE OF A KIND necklace just for TSF readers. Lucky YOU! Details on how to purchase below. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping!

The sun was shining, the weather was incredible and my family and friends gathered at St Peters Church in Point Pleasant to celebrate my nieces christening day. My husband and I are both lucky and honored to have been chosen as the godparents to sweet baby Skylar. It was a beautiful afternoon….as we celebrated back at my sisters home…I excused myself from the festivities for a few quick moments and took some photos of the beautiful London Times dress I was gifted a few weeks ago. I have reviewed the dresses before and will say it again…the fit and comfort is just SO perfect for me. I also love that most styles work for day and evening and the length is just a smidge longer…which is so appropriate for this thirty-something chasing after the kiddies. Layered with my favorite Rachel Zoe leather vest…because this fall it is ALL about the layers, no? Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week:)
* Special promotion over on the London Times site…now through Tuesday use code CDW13 for 20 percent off in honor of Columbus Day! Happy Shopping!

You may remember this trend forecast a few weeks ago…..I thought I would follow up with how I am styling my printed leggings around town. Yesterday I had two The Box Service clients to shop for and a dreaded grocery store visit was in order…..this is what I wore. As you know, I am a huge fan of meshing comfort and style and leggings with a tunic are a perfect example. I plan to wear this a little further into the season with black tall boots but for now…ballet flats did the trick.
Printed leggings can be a tough trend to try so my suggestions if you are going for it:
1. Keep the rest of the look really simple. Think solid colors and avoid tons of layers.
2. Pair them with a tunic length sweater or shirt. I cannot emphasize enough, especially as a thirty-something, to cover your crotch and tush- no matter your size or shape it is NOT a good look. Promise:)
So, are you trying the printed legging trend? If so what are you pairing them with? I hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Thursday!

This London Times dress gifted to me last fall is truly one of my favorite casual dresses. I have worn it to showers, family parties and apparently down by the boat docks:) Seriously though…the fit, comfort and style are just so wearable. A close second in the favorites category are these Frye boots. I have had them for about eight years and NEVER tire of them. The older and more beat up they get, the better they look. I have decided I don’t wear them nearly enough…so you might see a little resurgence on the blog this fall. Although I love the new “bootie” trend, there is something timeless about dresses and tall boots…always in style. Don’t you think? Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Monday!

I created this board last Saturday night…partly because I promised a client I would share ways to wear white past labor day…and partly because I wanted to inspire myself to find creative ways to continue in my favorite white skinny jeans.
Turns out, I was most definitely inspired! I rocked my white skinnies yesterday for a few errands and running around with the kids. By pairing them with my favorite fall trends like cowboy boots, layers, and everything anything army green, I was both comfortable and chic! Have I convinced you to wear white after labor day? I hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week:)
Tank Gap, Denim Shirt JCrew Factory similar available here, White Skinnies Yoga Jeans (old), Jacket Lovemarks (available through The Box Service), Necklace (available through The Box Service), Belt Nicole Miller (old), Boots Frye available here
If you are looking to add a little edginess to your wardrobe, graphic tees are a great way to do it. Paired with bits of distressed denim and/or leather…they can take a rather simple outfit up and notch. For this thirty-something mommy a graphic tee is perfect for going out to dinner or meeting a friend for a drink..which is exactly what I was doing in the outfit featured below. I kept it simple with distressed skinnies, a black blazer, some fabulous heels…oh and I piled on a some extra jewelry for a little added glam! Aside from the tee, I am willing to bet you have some variation of all of these items in your own closet.
Wanting to try the trend? Never has it been easier to get your hands on one…Old Navy, who I feature on the regular for cool inexpensive finds, has an amazing selection here. Or if you are super smitten with the one I am sporting…it is available here (but I think you have to create a sign in to view). We are closing in on the weekend….Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Shopping!
Oh…I tried out my new Bobbi Brown goodies…a new eye palette and lipstick/lipgloss combo for this dinner/girls night out. Thinking I will separate the review into its own post tomorrow or Saturday…so STAY TUNED!

When my new go-to for trendy inexpensive shoes, Sole Society wanted to collaborate for early fall it was a no brainer choosing this killer knee high boot. Tanya and I both fell instantly in love and the rest is history:) With the temps being cooler here on the East coast, denim seemed to work perfectly back to these badass boots….meanwhile…the West apparently called for a killer dress…totally drooling over Tanya’s….so bohemian chic, no? Pop by her blog here to see her style up close and personal. Hope you enjoy this months addition of East West Mamas, grab some style inspiration and make it a fabulous week!

It is official. I am obsessed with vests. I have even been using it as a tag on instagram, #obsessedwithvests… Ha! They are so perfect for this early fall transitional weather and I love using them as a layer to bring in a different texture or color to your outfit…like here and here. Personally love pairing fall vests with spring dresses and boots….gives the dresses a little longer of a life and it just looks so cute, no? Vests are everywhere and easy to find this fall. I wore this little number yesterday while shopping for two box clients and meeting a friend for lunch. Want your own? My favorite online selection is Piperlime, they have all different styles, fabrications and price points. I also have a great selection through The Box Service. Hope you find some vest inspiration and Happy Shopping!

I am elated that the weather has shifted a little earlier than expected and smiled when the temperature called for a lightweight sweater last night. I. LIVE. FOR. FALL. Seriously, it is my favorite time of year. I have had this faux leather mini for a while now and every time I go to wear it…it just doesn’t make the cut….only once this summer here. I love it in theory…but just never felt completely comfortable in it. Thislove sweater that I scored on super sale from Old Navy a few weeks back was the perfect match and finally made this skirt feel fun, modern and maybe even whimsical? (you might be thinking young, haha) Hey, you only live once…I decided to rock the leggy look with a whole bunch of confidence! I hope I am inspiring you to grab that item in your closet that has been passed over time and time again…and find a way to WEAR IT! Have some fun, think outside the box…I have a feeling you will be quite smitten with the result. Happy weekend to all!!!

Enjoying these last few weeks of very minimal makeup while I am still slightly tan! It fades SO quickly…..
I like creating outfits that are stylish, comfortable and easy to recreate for all of you reading along. I would venture to guess that most of you have jeans, white tanks and a blazer, so I thought it would be helpful to add on accessories for both day and night….giving you outfit ideas for the most simple items in your closet. As you might remember from this post, Kohls gifted me a few great item style up this fall! This LC Lauren Conrad Boyfriend Blazer will be getting a ton of wear in the coming months. It is so easy to style and I love the fit! Totally worth the $49.99 pricetag:)The rest is a mix of new and old accessories….see why I am always telling you accessories are KEY? They help your basics drive the extra mile….Hope you find some outfit inspiration and Happy Tuesday!

No one loves to pile on layers and accessories more than I, but sometimes it is just about a simple “look” that has you feeling confident and fabulous. For me, it is the outfit photographed below. A simple pair of great fitting jeans, a loose button down blouse and a “pop” of color around the face. When I work with new clients, I always try to leave them with a “uniform” that they feel great in. An outfit that they can turn to when they don’t want to think, but want to look and feel great. It doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive…it just needs to leave you feeling like you could take on the world:)
As many of you know….I am completely overhauling ThirtySomethingFashion. As part of that relaunch, I had professional photos taken by a very talented friend and photographer, Oksana, owner of Fedali Portrait Photography. To say I am pleased with the shots would be a huge understatement. She really captured ME…approachable mom on the go (like below)…but she also captured my much more glamorous side (which isn’t as prevalent these days). I will be dedicating an entire post to her business and services, so stay tuned for that- especially if you live in the Greater New Jersey/New York area. So, what is your “uniform”? If you don’t have one yet…I hope I have inspired you to create one! Happy Wednesday:)
Jeans Level 99 (available through box service) Denim Shirt Old Navy available here, Necklace c/o Zolie Designs, Boots Sam Edelman available here, all my favorite classic jewelry gifted from my husband including diamond studs, diamond wedding rings, Cartier love bracelet and Rolex watch
And you can always add in additional fun accessories to this “uniform” like a fabulous HAT!
