I almost feel like “Where’s Waldo” modeling this red plaid scarf on the blog today, considering half the readers of the blog own it! I hope you all love it as much as I do:) Honestly, it was only 62 degrees yesterday…but there was a bit of a chill in the air and I have been patiently waiting to wear this badboy. Stripes, plaid and my most favorite boots to ever exist…what do you think? I kind of am in love with the look…and although I don’t like to repeat exact outfits…there are always exceptions, no?
Hope you have an awesome Friday…it’s Connor’s FIFTH birthday party Saturday…so I am heading into dinosaur themed chaos! Wish me LUCK and enjoy your beautiful families this weekend!

I worked for the Nicole Miller brand for over five years in Philadelphia as their Director of Sales and Merchandising. It was an amazing job that kept the flame burning for my passion of all things fashion and retail. Without that particular job, the people, and the journey, I would never be a working personal shopper and stylist.
The owner of the Philadelphia stores, Mary Dougherty , taught me a very wise lesson…..Small businesses have an obligation to give back to the community that supports them. I am probably the smallest business around, but finding a place to donate my time and closet overflow from clients, was one of my top priorities. Working with Grace Initiatives gives me such joy. I like to think it is part of the reason for my continued growth and success…beyond that, it just feels good.
Monday, I attended an event hosted by Nicole Miller Philadelphia to celebrate the XIX (Nineteen) Most Fashionable Women in Philadelphia. Chosen, of course, for their impeccable sense of style…but also for their inspirational philanthropic work in the community. The energy in the room was contagious and has me dreaming up different ways to give back.
Jewelry all Stella and Dot available HERE and HERE
Shoes Brian Atwood (last season) similar available HERE
The event was held at XIX Restaurant at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. It was an intimate event…with tons of media there- Hence the reason I did not get a great shot of the 19 women 🙁 As soon as PR company gets one to me, I will be adding it to the post. For now, you will have to enjoy my not so great photos of the room. Below I have also listed the women who were honored one by one. Some really amazing women…Google them:)

I am not even sure how to intro these killer embellished jeans…I mean? Really! I am obsessed. Simple, slouchy, chic…all my favorite things. Here at the shore, we do a lot of casual dinners with friends….these boyfriends are SO perfect for those type of festivities. Not over the top…but still more special than the skinnies you wear to the soccer field! Right?
Monday Mingle time again. Stop by my favorite fashionistas BonBon Rose Girls and Momtrends, to see what they are styling up. The link is being hosted by Nicole this week:)
Heading to my favorite city tonight, Philadelphia, for a really cool event and cannot WAIT to show you the outfit I am wearing. Follow along on Instagram if you wish. Make it a great Monday!
Jeans Level 99 available through ME (email firstname.lastname@example.org)
This may not officially be a kimono…but it is a favorite shirt of mine and definitely has the look and feel of the kimonos I have been loving so much for fall. I plan to purchase one…after all of my clients have chosen theirs…aren’t I sweet:) Ha!
Not too much to report other than insanity with work. I have one more “Roll in the Rack” scheduled for Friday, and then hoping to spend the weekend catching up on internship inquiries, box service inquiries and EMAILS! Thanks for your patience as this has been my busiest week to date:) HAPPY THURSDAY!!!
I took my coveted leather leggings out for a spin this weekend. The temps were nice and cool…totally leather weather. I decided pairing them with my favorite new poncho compliments of Krimson Klover was the way to go! Do you remember this lovely sweater from last year? Well, there designs are just as beautiful for 2014! The sweater featured below is beautiful, soft and stylish- perfection really. Ponchos are everywhere this season. I have been a fan forever…and surprised myself by only owning one other. I think I might have a snatch up a few from my “Shop” page, which is ready to launch any day now!
Monday Mingle is the stylish collab between myself, BonBon Rose Girls and Momtrends. I am hosting today…but be sure to pop by and visit my girlies:) Off to pull a few “The Box Service” today…infact…Kristin of BonBon is one of my clients this week:) Yay!
We all have one. We all love the fit. It is our fail safe when we simply “have nothing else to wear”.
Are we excited to wear it? Probably not.
Four Tips: Getting Excited for Your Little Black Dress!
1. Style your dress with killer shoes. The pair featured below (super sale by Rachel Zoe) are available locally through me, very limited sizes. If a heeled gladiator is way too trend driven for you…try leopard like HERE or even red like HERE.
2. Pile on the accessories. Typically, I keep my accessories to a minimum. Big earrings=simple necklace. Big necklace=stud earrings….But….with a simple black dress….I say pile it on, baby! Get the look via Stella and Dot HERE.
4. Grab a fantastic clutch. Fringe is kind of everything for me this fall…but whatever strikes your fancy go out and grab it! You can find fun, unique clutches everywhere these days. One featured below is HERE.
The temperature dropped something fierce here in New Jersey and I, for one, couldn’t be happier. Booties, skinnies, scarves…yes yes yes!!! Putting together the last “The Box Service” of the week this morning and then I can relax…and by relax, I mean get Connor geared for his first soccer practice and plan something simple yet fabulous for my husbands birthday on Saturday. Lets just say, the rest of the week, I will be focused on my men:)
Make it a great week…Back on Friday with The. Most. Amazing. Shoes. To. Ever. Exist.
I LOVE reading and scrolling through fantasy fashion blogs…Atlantic Pacific, Glamourai, The Blonde Salad…it is much like art,the way they perfectly style, model and photograph their clothing. Truly editorial genius. In all honestly though, its not real life. Well, to be fair, maybe it is someones real life….but definitely not mine. A coat perfectly balancing on my shoulders….with two kids to chase after, NOT going to happen.
Over the years, I have had a few fantasy photoshoots (this and this by Adalie Scott Photography come to mind)…..but mostly, I try to document outfits you can really translate into your own life….for lack of a better phrase, outfits you can copy, so you don’t have to think about what to wear. Leave that part to me…I enjoy it:)
So, for this weeks #MondayMingle I am serving up an outfit ALL of you have..black and white with some beautiful accessories! I wore this yesterday, shopping for clients. Classic, Simple, Chic and Comfortable. Don’t forget to pop by BonBon Rose Girls and Momtrends to see their stylish posts. Link is with Kristin this week. Happy Monday!
This outfit may have been inspired by my new obsession, the Sam Edelman booties featured below. I mean GAH! I actually was shopping for a client when I stumbled upon them….weakness struck and I had to have them for myself! They are just perfection in every way. The heel is mommy friendly, the zippers are on trend and modern, and the color was lacking in my shoe wardrobe.
Lightweight layers are key for me right now. It is still hot as h*ll outside, but my mind is on fall fashion. Layers allow it to feel like fall, peeling away when its hot and adding on when you step into the air conditioning. There was a time, I would have NEVER paired grey with chocolate brown. Grey always went with black accents, not brown. I am so glad to have left that notion behind. I love this grey/brown color combo…..simple, casual, chic….the name of my game.
* I am wearing a new wash c/o Level 99. Its the Liza Skinny. Looks awesome cuffed, but also left long. This will be my staple fall dark jean. If you are interested in purchasing or want to request a pair for your The Box Service, let me know. $149
Hope everyone is enjoying the final day of summer…the weather is horrible here…humid and rainy…..probably a day of movies on the couch for us…and sometimes that is just what the doctor ordered. We had a jampacked weekend of beach, pool, Prestons 2nd birthday and than a night out on the town….I am exhausted. With a crazy work week ahead and Connor starting school Wednesday, a day of nothing is quite welcomed. On to the fashion….I LOVE leopard with white..it is so perfect for this transitional time of year. How about you? Would you pair leopard and white?
Monday Mingle time again:) The stylish collaboration between myself, BonBon Rose Girls and Momtrends. Link is over with Nicole today- be sure to pop by and join in the fun. Make it a great week!
There is nothing better than an easy fitting shift dress. Truly the perfect transition to fall piece. Wear it now, as I have shown below with a colorful necklace and your favorite sandals…then September with a denim jacket and maybe some cool kicks…then again dead of winter with black tights and tall black boots! Seriously, when can a 25 dollar dress do all that for you? Available over on SusieRaine – but I know it will sell out quickly so hurry on over:) Happy Shopping!
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Ariat but as you all know, I think long and hard about my brand partnerships and only say yes if I truly love the product and think it is a great fit for all of YOU!
Last fall and winter I maybe tucked my jeans into my boots once or twice at most. It just wasn’t a trend I was into for one reason or another. Fast forward to this year and I can’t seem to wear my skinny jeans any other way! I have fallen in love with this clean crisp style again. What has been making it easy for me are fabulous boots like the Sahara Ariat boot I am featuring below….I mean, could they be any more gorgeous? I have zero doubt you will be seeing these constantly on the blog this winter….and then into the spring with flirty little dresses! Gah!
If you aren’t familiar with the Ariat Brand...you should be:) They are an American brand that is completely committed to making the finest Western and English footwear (aka cowboy boot and riding boot) and I can attest they are doing just that! I have owned many a boot…and these are right up there with the finest….high quality, unique design details and comfort are all spot on. So get those holiday gift lists out girls and add a pair of Ariat boots…you won’t be disappointed:)
In the meantime…killer giveaway going on, over on their Facebook Page! There are numerous chances to win…anything from their site, a pair of Ariat boots or a pair of jeans! What are you waiting for…ENTER HERE! Good luck!
I think what I love most about this look is its wearability- I thought you might think so too…So I created a quick board so you can “Get the Look”!
I would hardly say I am a country girl, I was born in New Jersey, raised right outside of Washington DC and spent most of my twenties in Philadelphia. I did however have a four year stint at Elon College University….which might be where I picked up my adoration for cowboy boots and the over use of the word ya’ll. It just rolls of the tongue, what can I say?
This yellow blazer is probably one of my best purchases from Piperlime super sale. I got it about a year ago…and have found ways to style it winter, spring, summer and now again this fall. Do you have a piece that works this hard in your wardrobe? I think it is the classic style but unique color that keep me grabbing it time and time again. Hope you find some outfit inspiration and make it a great week!
One of my hands down favorite combinations is a great tunic with leather leggings. It is just simple combination that I know I will leave me feeling comfortable and stylish. When eShakti sent me this beautifully embroidered tunic to style, I originally thought I was going to dress it up with heels and loads of bangles, giving it a more formal vibe….but I couldn’t wait to wear it…and ended up running errands and shopping for clients. I love that it is easy to dress up and down and can’t wait to wear it again over the holidays….I have a pair of louboutins that match the embroidery perfectly:)
I am giving away TWO $30 gift cards for you to grab something beautiful for all of your upcoming holiday festivities. With tons ofnew arrivals there is bound to be something special that catches your eye! Our thanksgiving is pretty casual, but if I were to get dressed up, how perfect is this dress! Also, totally in love with this leather and ponte skirt. I often cruise the overstock section…there are often really great items for a fraction of the original price! Hope you find some outfit inspiration…Happy Weekend and don’t forget to enter the GIVEAWAY below:)

Last week, I had the pleasure of checking out the new Topshop for Nordstromscollection at The Short Hills Mall. I had such a great time trying things on….I was in the fitting room for over an hour….all in a days work ladies, all in a days work:) My ambassadorship includes sharing my experience shopping the collection and I was also able to keep a few of my favorite things.
I love Nordstroms, there store is clean, neat, easy to shop and the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, which can be a rarity in retail these days. I found the TopShop area easily identifiable and had a blast looking at the vast collection. My favorite thing about this line? It is totally something both a tween and thirtysomething can wear. About 15 percent of the line was just a smidge too “young” for me….but everything else, honestly was fantastic. I could have bought more. Infact, the light blue romper below was a total surprise….I brought it into the fitting room as a joke (outtake) and it ended up fitting really well. I decided the color seemed a bit more spring inspired….but I easily could have found a way to legitimize the purchase. I think the sizing is pretty dead on. I am typically a mix of small and medium on top and a 6 on the bottom. That is exactly what I ended up purchasing. Sharing some of my fitting room photos and then the items that made the cut below! Happy SHOPPING!
You might be wondering what I ended up going home with? It was really hard deciding, but due the vast collection choices, and affordable price points I was able to get a good amount:) I ended up with this sexy dress and plan to wear it for a 40th birthday in December, I also scooped up this cute scarf/hat combo. This white tee fit so perfectly, I know it will be a closet staple and last but certainly not least, I grabbed this ivory cableknit sweater featured below. I can’t wait to continue to show of all my goodies in style posts in the coming weeks. For now, I hope you find some outfit inspiration below and Happy Shopping!
